Ch. 14 - Toky-Oh Wow

A/N: Hey lovelies! I'm glad to be back! I am SO sorry about the long wait!! Just a few reminders since it's be a little while, in the last few chapters Alec stood up for himself against Damon on the football field where they were both sent to the principals office. Alec did not get suspended but the principal did inform him that this was his warning. He also informed Alec that Damon will be handled. We shall see what that holds for us. In psychology, the class hugged and clapped for Alec for fighting Damon since he had bullied so many people over the school. It seems as if Alec is making some good friends, adapting to the college life. Also, it was stated in multiple chapters that Alec IS a Shadowhunter and Magnus does have his magic. If anyone is confused, please go back and reread the previous chapters. Anyways, enough of me, let's get to the story!

Recap: Alec smiled softly as he looked around at the people around him. For once, he finally felt totally and completely happy. He was fearless. No one could stand in his way anymore. And for once, he had many friends that enjoyed spending time with him.

After a relatively good class, it was now time for lunch. As Alec made his way to the cafeteria, multiple people walked with him, carrying on conversations. Alec was happy that he was starting to fit in; it felt nice to know that people actually saw him as a person, not just some gay teen. He opened the doors to the cafeteria and walked in, switching his backpack to the other shoulder as he grabbed a lunch tray. He went through the line fixing his food and walked over to grab something to drink before he sat down at his normal table where he sat almost every day alone. Today was different, however. He was accompanied by Ethan, and many other people that he did not know. It was okay that he didn't know these total strangers before him because it just felt nice to have people to chat and sit with.

Lunch flew by, a lot faster than normal. Maybe it was the company that he had during it. It's crazy how just the presence of strangers can change your whole mood, hell even the view of lunch. The day continued to fly by and soon Alec finished his last class. He had made it back to his dorm room and was sitting at his desk finishing up readings and homework from the day. He always wanted to make sure that he didn't fall behind on his homework because then he would stress himself out trying to get caught up. He had been stressed enough with everything that Damon and others had put him through so he just wanted to breathe for a minute. He just wanted to relax and enjoy his happiness, something he hasn't had in forever. As he was writing down some notes from his readings, his phone buzzed. He checked his notifications, it was a text from Magnus.

Magnus 💕: Hello Alexander, we still on for tonight?

Alec smiled cheekily as he read the message, chewing on his bottom lip as he responded.

Me: Oh yes, I wouldn't miss our date for nothing ;)

Magnus 💕: Good, I cannot wait. See you at 7 😘

Alec smiles softly, shaking his head as he read Magnus's message. The first date that Magnus and Alec had was amazing. They even had their first kiss and Alec had asked Magnus out.  He finished up his notes and decided that he better start to get ready for the date so he doesn't miss it. He got a quick shower, getting out and blow drying his hair. He brushed his teeth, put on deodorant, and got dressed in his clothes. He had chosen to wear a pair of jeans and a black tshirt along with his combat boots. He grabbed his phone to check the time, 6:42pm. He better head on out to meet Magnus. He was meeting Magnus at his apartment since Magnus planned the date tonight. After about fifteen or so minutes, though it seemed like forever, the taxi dropped Alec off outside a huge apartment complex building. He looked up at the building, taking a deep breath. Alec walked inside and to the elevator where he pressed the floor number, having to check his phone to make sure it was the correct one. He walked out of the elevator and to the correct apartment number. Magnus's apartment was different from the others, just from the outside. The door was bigger and black, while the others were smaller and a different color much like a grayish color. He knocked on the door, waiting for Magnus to answer. He didn't understand why but his nerves were always high around Magnus. It was a good nervous though. Soon the door flung open, a sparkly Magnus standing in the door frame. "Well, hello Alexander" Magnus hummed as he leaned up to press a soft kiss on his cheek. Alec blushed, returning the favor with a smile. "Hi Magnus, you look stunning" Alec stated as he chewed on his lip. "Why thank you, perfection takes time" Magnus said as he spun around for him. He was dressed in a blue jean shirt and pants with his hair spiked up. Eyeliner thickened the bottom of his eyes. Magnus was beautiful, inside and out. "We should get going, I cannot wait to see what the night will hold" Magnus said as he takes Alec's hand closing his door as they made their way to the elevator and out of the building.

"Where are we going?" Alec chuckled as Magnus pulled him out of the building. "Tokyo" He said before he pulled Alec where they were unseen, snapping his fingers, a portal appearing. Alec's eyes opened wide, not because of the portal. He had seen plenty of them; it was the fact that he was fixing to go to Tokyo, somewhere he had never been. "Hold on tight" Magnus added as he pulled him through the portal. In just a matter of seconds, they were on the streets of Tokyo. Alec looked around the city as he smiled widely, holding on tightly to Magnus as people passed by them on street. "Oh my god.. Magnus it's beautiful here" Alec said as he took in all the beauty of the people, culture, big city lights. "I know, it's one of my favorite places" Magnus said as he smiled at him, kissing his hand gently. "You're adorable, Alexander" He added as he admired his blushing boyfriend. "What's on our agenda first?" Alec asked, finally snapping back to reality with a soft chuckle. "Mmm it's about time you snap back to reality" Magnus chuckled as he fiddled with their interlaced fingers. "But to answer your question, we have reservations at the Toufuya Ukai, one of my favorite places" He smiled as Alec nodded. "Oh good because I am STARVED" Alec informed him.

They made their way to the restaurant, and Alec was in awe at the beautiful lights that hung over them. People filled the place, eating, chatting, and just having fun. "Oh Magnus... this is beautiful" Alec said in awe as he gasped. Magnus smiled at him before he spoke to the hostess. "Reservations for Bane" The hostess typed on her computer before she grabbed two menus and led them to their table, placing the menus down. Alec and Magnus sat down across from one another, a waitress bringing them a bottle of champagne over ice. "Thank you" Magnus said as he nodded before he scanned though the menu. After a few minutes of silence, Magnus said "See anything you like Alexander?" "I.. I don't even know where to begin, what any of this is. T-They don't have like a cheeseburger?" Alec mumbled as he fiddled with the menu. Magnus laughed as he shook his head. "No no dear, we are far from cheeseburgers and fries" "O-Oh okay.. ummm what is this?" He asked as he pointed to something on the menu. Magnus leaned forward and looked at what he was pointed to. "Oh, that's the squid" He hummed before he sat back and continued looking through the menu. Alec's eyes widen before he shook his head. Ew, oh my god. No. Alec thought to himself. Soon, it came time to order and Magnus went first since Alec was still undecided. After a few minutes of debating, Alec decided on some fancy meal he couldn't even pronounce with some veggies just because that's the only thing that sounded decent. Magnus grabbed the champagne and popped it open before he poured them each a glass full. "To us, to our second date" Magnus said as he held up his glass, Alec smiling as he did the same. "Yes, to us and to our second date" Alec said clinking his glass to Magnus's and taking a sip. "So, have you heard from your siblings or parents any?" Magnus asked as he smiled at him, sipping his champagne. Alec nodded as he sat his drink down. "Yeah I talk to Izzy and Jace almost everyday, they have me in a group chat" He responded rolling his eyes with a soft chuckle. "Good, I'm glad you guys still talk. I noticed you've been making a lot more friends at the university as well. I'm glad you're fitting in" Magnus added as he looked at him. "Me too, it's kinda weird you know since no one has ever talked to me much there. Most of them are still complete strangers, I don't even remember the names of the people I had lunch with today. But I suppose their company is good. It made lunch go by super quick" Alec said as he sipped his champagne again, Magnus chuckling softly. "Yeah it's crazy how good a complete stranger's company can feel"  Magnus said as he looked at him. It's crazy to think that just a few months ago, Alec and Magnus were complete strangers. Sure, he had heard about him through the ShadowWorld but he didn't know know him. "I know, it's crazy that we were strangers a short while ago" Alec hummed as he laid his hand over Magnus's. "I know, and now I can't get you out of my head" Magnus hummed as he went to lean forward to press a soft kiss on Alecs lips. Alec pulled away, blushing and embarrassed as the waiter brought their food to them. "T-Thank yo-you" Alec said nervously as he smiled, the waitress nodding before she walked away. They burst into laughter before beginning to eat. Magnus was enjoying his food, continuing to eat it up as Alec picked at his food after trying it. "What's wrong? Do you not like it?" Magnus asked as he looked up at Alec. "No no.. I-It's great" Alec lied as he forced a smile. This food was horrible. He did NOT like whatever the heck this was. He didn't want to tell Magnus that though. "No, you don't like it. I can tell you don't Alexander" Magnus said as he looked at him and Alec sighed. "I'm sorry... I just.. I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to think that I hate it because I don't I just.. This date is perfect and I-" Alec rambled on before Magnus took his hand. "Alexander, it's okay really. I can get you something that you'll enjoy" He said before he looked around, snapping his fingers so a cheeseburger and fries pops on the plate in front of Alec. "Oh.. Magnus you didn't have to do that. You know me so well though" Alec said as he chuckled and Magnus leaned back. "Now, let's enjoy our dinner" He said as he shook his head smiling.
