Ch. 12 - The Defense

Alec smiled softly as he glanced up at Magnus was now at the front of the class. He sat back in his chair, relaxing before taking out his books and notes for that class. All class period he couldn't help but continuously think about the event taking place that night. He didn't really pay attention throughout the class period therefore he jumped slightly at once the bell dismissed them. He began packing his things up from that class as Magnus appeared in front of him. "Didn't pay attention in class Mr. Lightwood?" He asked as he placed a hand on his lower back. "Oh uh.. no not really.. I was just thinking about tonight.." He bit his lip as he glanced up at Magnus who was smirking slightly. "Well, please dont stop.." Magnus said as he leaned closer and whispered into Alec's ear, "I can't wait either..' Alec let out a soft gasp as he felt the man's breath on his neck. He bit his lip once again before walking out of the class.

The entire class period Alec did not only think about the wonderful date that was planned for tonight with Magnus, but he was also thinking about what Ethan said. About how he said that Damon kicked Ethan off of the football team because Ethan stood up for him. The more that Alec thought about what Ethan had done and said, the angrier he got, not at Ethan but at Damon. He knew that Damon would be on the football field this period practicing as he always is. Alec's next class would be at 10:55am. He glanced down as he pulled out his phone, clicking the button on the side to light the screen up and seeing that the time was 10:23am. Alec began walking towards the football field as he felt his anger building and building. Alec was not angry anymore, he was furious! He was beyond upset with everything that Damon had put him through. On his march towards the field, he was replaying every memory he had of Damon bullying him. From his first day of class whenever Damon had made fun of him and calling him names to the time where Damon beat Alec up in his own dorm room to the time where Damon blackmailed Alec about photos of him to the time that Damon kidnapped Magnus to where Alec wrestled Damon in the classroom.

As Alec was only a few feet from the football field, he could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins. He marched onto the football field, glancing around as he searched for Damon. Not seeing him on the football field, he walked towards the field house. As he entered, the boys that were in the field house all turned their attention to him, staring at him. "Oh the little gay boy coming to whine to someone?" said a football boy to Alec's left. He turned his head glaring at the boy as he pushed him against the wall. "I am DONE with being your guys' little pet. I am NOT some run down gay ass dog. I AM A HUMAN!!" Alec yelled in the male's face. "Now, why don't you tell me where Damon Salvatore is!!" "I am right here," said Damon from the back of the locker room as the guys split to where Damon could walk closer. He walked closer to Alec, throwing on a shirt as he had just gotten out of the shower.

Alec, with all of his pent up anger, marched towards Damon, swinging at him and knocking him on the ground by the lockers. "I am TIRED of you always picking on me!!! I am NOT your little fuck pet!! I am a HUMAN not some little ragged ass doll!!" Alec screamed as he continued to punch Damon multiple times. As Alec contintued to punch him in the face, he felt himself becoming stronger and stronger. Damon pushed Alec off as he marched towards him with anger. As he done so, strength overwhelemed his body and he automatically felt insantly stronger and unafraid. Alec blocked all of Damon's punches and finished match. As Alec began to exit the football field house, the coach along with many other principals and teachers had shown up, taking Alec and Damon towards the office. Alec sighed softly as he walked towards the office.

Once he was in a seperate office from Damon, Alec took the wet cloth that the principal had given him wiping his face and wounds "Now, Mr. Lightwood, you know that we do not put up with fighting on this campus," Principal Scottsmen said as he sat behind his desk glancing at Alec. Alec looked down and then back up at the principal. "I am aware of that but I am TIRED of everyone picking on me like I am some weak ass child. I am a HUMAN not some weakling. I am tired of being assuming that because I am gay that I am some alien. Yes, I am a gay and I am proud to be. Yes, I am different. Suspend me if you want, I dont care. I would never take back what I did. I am not ashamed of who I am and I am not going to change who I am for some jerk.." Alec said, standing up as he turned to walk out of the door.

"Mr. Lightwood, please.." the principal said as he stood, walking over to stand in front of Alec. "I am not going to suspend you. I can tell that you enjoy staying here on this campus. You've made a ton of friends, and have found a love interest so Im told," he continued as he smiled softly. "Let's think of this as being your first warning. Just a day of detention after hours okay? I see you having a bright future Alec. I wouldn't want to jeopardize that because you stood up to a bully. And I just want you to know that Mr. Salvatore will be handled" Principal Scottsmen said as he opened the office door, allowing Alec to walk out. Alec smiled softly, walking out of the pricipal's office proudly. As he walked out of the doors, he saw as Magnus ran to him. "Oh Alec, I just heard what happened! Are you okay??" Magnus asked worriedly as he wrapped his arms around Alec's body tightly. Alec sighed contently once he was in Magnus's arms. "Yes I am better than ever. I am tired of holding in my anger. Back home, I was not known for that..." Alec said as he closed his eyes, trailing off at the end of his sentence.
