* Ava's POV *
An hour had passed since Bailey had dropped me off the house as I resorted to my comfortable bed once again. It has been my best friend for a month and I think it was the only thing that has been making me feel better.
Len had called me and asked if what time I was going to be done with work, but I told him not to worry as Bailey had already taken me home. He should just continue on with what he was doing.
However, a few minutes later, the front door had opened up and little footsteps were heard, running around and heading towards Len and I’s bedroom.
“Mummy!” Harley called, launching himself towards the bed, greeting me with a kiss.
Following behind the little boy, Len appeared on the doorway and smiled. “Brought him home – turns out he was mad at me this morning because we left him. He wasn’t talking to me the whole time until I told him we were coming home to see you.” He laughed. “How’s my baby?”
“The baby’s fine.” I uttered as tears formed in my eyes.
“Hey, what’s wrong babe?” Len asked as he marched his way towards the bed. “Why are you crying? Thought you’d be happy that we’re complete now.”
“I am – happy tears.” I uttered. Ignore the fact that all I can picture in my mind right now was that scene at the park with Len, Harley, and his mother. “What did you guys do? What took you so long?”
“Harley wanted to play at the park so I let him play as I waited.” Len explained. “Then we went back home because I left the car there and we packed all of Harley’s things.”
“Did you have fun at the park, baby?” I asked him as he nodded.
“Why did you go home so early? Told you I’d pick you up.” Len asked.
“Bailey came to pick me up and we were supposed to have lunch together. But during the car ride, I felt a bit dizzy so I asked her to bring me home instead.” I told him.
“Aww, babe. Maybe you should stay at home for a few days.” Len told me. “Have you eaten anything?” I shook my head. “I’ll prepare you something.”
“Babe, have you eaten?” I asked and he nodded.
“Just had some pasta with Harley downtown before coming home.” He told me before leaving the room.
As much as I wanted to ask him about Harley’s mother, I couldn’t. As much as I wanted to know about what happened with her at the park today, I couldn’t. As much as I wanted to know the truth, I can’t take it.
As my mind was drifting off into space, Harley sat beside me on the bed, leaning towards me. His little hands rubbed my stomach, saying ‘baby’ nonstop and smiling.
“Lily.” He uttered, smiling widely for me. “Come out, Lily.” I giggled.
“Are you excited to meet your little sister?” I asked as he nodded, almost fast enough that I was worried he would get dizzy or hurt his head. “Sorry baby, but we have to wait for a few more months before Lily comes out.”
“Why?” He asked.
“Because she’s not ready yet.”
“Why?” He asked again, and boy I was glad Len came back into the room with a tray of goodies, disrupting the continuous questions coming from Harley, not that I didn’t like talking to him, but I just didn’t know how to make him understand things. I know he was smart, though, but still…

“Please tell me you feel all better now and we can go try out the restaurant I’m craving for!” Bailey exclaimed as she had entered the store, disrupting the customers inside. “Please! You can’t reject a pregnant woman!” She uttered as I laughed.
