* Lenny’s POV *

Summer time came and the family decided to spend it at a water park. Ava and I had just finished breakfast and we’re waiting for John, Bailey, and Harley to come pick us up. The two have been babysitting for us, prepping up to become parents because in just a few months, their beautiful baby boy will come out and join us.

A loud honk came in the driveway and when I opened up, Harley came running towards me, holding onto a loot bag of goodies, showing me his new toys, and his favourite train toy from the bunch.

“Mummy!” Harley called, but no sound of Ava acknowledging the call came.

John and Bailey came in and waited at the lounge room whilst Harley and I went to the bedroom where Ava was.

“Mummy!” He called again, and soon, we found her lying on the bathroom floor.

“I don’t feel so well. You guys go.” Ava uttered as she walks back to the bed and lay down. “I’ll stay here.”

“What do you feel, babe?” I inquired, getting worried. She doesn’t look good either.

“Either I ate too much or I just feel sick. I vomited everything.” Ava frowned. “I feel so dizzy!” She wiped the tears forming in her eyes – she always does this whenever she was feeling sick.

“I can let Harley go with John and Bailey. The two love babysitting him anyway. I’ll stay here with you.” I uttered, rubbing her sides.

But she stood up abruptly and headed back to the bowl, throwing up the contents of what we ate during breakfast and maybe more.

From the corner of my eye, Harley’s eyes widen when Ava went back to bed. He gave Ava a sweet kiss on her cheeks, perhaps making her feel better, before kissing other parts of her face. He went down to her stomach and laid his head as Ava played with Harley’s hair.

Harley stood up, all smiles as he faced Ava and I. With his little hands, he rubbed Ava’s stomach; probably he thinks it would help Ava.

But only he had other things in mind…

“Baby!” Harley uttered, pointing to Ava’s stomach as both our eyes widen. “Baby!” Harley exclaimed, clapping his hands together as if he just solved a mystery puzzle.

“Do you think you’re…” I asked Ava, but she wasn’t sure.

“Well, I haven’t gotten my period.” Ava explained.

“Is that mini lava lamps I hear?” I asked, with the huge grin on my face, partly excited about the news. The other part was me worried about what my girl was feeling.

“Omg, how did Harley know these things?” Ava asked, and I remember that one incident when I found out John and Bailey was engaged as they ate each other’s faces, and I was telling them to be discreet around Harley.

“I’m going to kill John and Bailey!” I expressed with anger in my voice as I headed out of the room, looking for the culprits who had taught my child with these things.

“Len!” I heard Ava called, but because she was feeling sick, she couldn’t go after me.

When I reached the lounge room, the two looked at me with mischievous smiles planted on their faces as if they already knew what I had in mind.

“You…” I pointed to John. “And you…” I now pointed to Bailey. “We’re going to have some serious talk.”

The two had guilty expressions painted on their faces as if they both knew that they did something wrong. Bailey giggled as she hid behind John the whole time, tugging on his arm to protect her from me.
