We Like The Squiggly Lines. Squiggly Lines Are Good

My head throbbed like I by a bus or something else big as I woke up to the steady beep on my left. I turned to my left and saw a machine with a green squiggly lines. It was making that steady annoying sound. I want it to stop.

I tried to my hand but it wouldn't move so I looked to see my right hand was being held Steve. I gripped his hand a little tight to letting him I was up. Steve eyes shone as he looked me. He pulled me into his arms " I so sorry, Bud". I hug him back.

"Hey Can you do something please?", I ask using a my best puppy eyes. Steve nods. I point at the green squiggly line machine "That beeping is weird and annoying can you please stop it?"

Steve shook his head biting his lip, "That is called a heart monitor and I like it". He boops my nose. "It means that your okay"

I laugh "I guess I like too then". Steve's eyes eyes got wide and he started apologizing or at least I think he was, he was confusing me and making my head hurt. "Why are you sorry? You saved me. Again! Thanks for saving before too"

"Percy I was to slow to protect you", Steve whispered head in his hands. I moved his larger hands with a light tug.

"I am still beeping-" I point at the heart monitor "so you were that slow".

Steve gave a light and probably forced smile. His smile became more real as he told funny stories about his friends.

Bruce, or the Doctor as Tony called him, walked in. "Can I please get up now?".

Bruce sighed, "Not yet little buddy". I whined and gave my best puppy eyes. "No means no. But-" I perked up "we can play games, eat pizza, and watch movies"

"Wouldn't that just be a waste to time", I ask.

"Will it make you happy?" I nod "Then no it won't be" I smile. I like this.

Steve called his team and soon everyone was here. Tony was even holding pizza, it wasn't as awesome mom's special blue pizza but it have to work. That and being taken care of like this made me feel special enough.

Clint and Natasha walked in with a lot of different board games. "Who wants to play Monopoly?", Clint cheered. Before a civil war broke out over who got the dog piece Bruce decided that a different game would be better.

Bruce brought out the game Candy Land and I won the first round. They claimed that they let me win but I knew better. After hours of play so many games, my favorite game being battleship, Bruce said it was movie time.

"Who is ready for childhood trauma?", Tony cheered happily. I tilted my head confused, trauma is bad. Why is he so happy?

'Finding Nemo' appeared on screen, Looks like I am going to find out.

"Steve that was the best!" I yell. Tony laughed as he puts in a new movie, 'The little mermaid'.

I gaped at the TV. "More please?", I pout wanting to see Flounder again.

"Nap first, then we can watch another movie", Bruce smiles letting Steve tuck me in.

"Sleep tight bud", Steve whispered as he finished tucking me in.

Everything faded as I let sleep take me.

A man was talking to a woman that looked like my mom. He was tall, like super tall, with black hair and bright green eyes. "I love you. You can come with me. You won't have to live like that anymore, anyone could be that you a queen among mortals".

"You have a wife and as much as I love you, she does. I love you but I will stay here and raise our son". Then it hit me, this man was my father and the woman her hand on her stomach was my mom.

"Mommy", I call but she didn't hear me.

The man bent down to kiss mom's belly. "I love you my son". Then he kissed my mom "I love you too, my queen".

My dream began to fade. I let a tear slip "I love you too, daddy".

"Percy!", Steve called for me franticly. I groaned as realized I was not my parents I was with The Avengers. Then I something cold and wet. Tears? "Are you okay? What did you dream about?"

I smile, "My dad said that he loves me". I want to leap into his arms but I don't. I reach for Steve til he bends down. "My father loves me".

"Hey kid, guess what got you.", Clint grins. I guess every movie I have ever heard of but they tell me I wrong. "We got you this!", Clint exclaims handing me a bag.

Inside the bag was greatest things in the entire existence of the world: Nemo and Flounder Plushies.

He practically vibrated with delight when he saw the stuffed fish. He thanked for next hour before he began to fight imaginary bad guys with them. He handed me Nemo and told me to defend the bed from any and all monsters which just happened to Tony with a sock puppet.

"You will never stop me for have the cube of-" Tony stop to look at the rubrics cube in the sock puppet's mouth "colored control.". He touched the rubric cube to Flounder's chest.

Percy giggled "Steve save me". Before I could Natasha took the cube away.

"Time for the next movie", she declared starting a new movie.

"Steve hold him close because of you thought that 'Finding Nemo' was bad, well the water works will be brutal." I did just that and it turns out she was right. I think I cried more than Percy.

"I will never forget who I am", Percy's little voice degreed. His face was determined and green eyes set with power like a crashing wave.

His eyes drooped as snuggled into my shoulder. "Goodnight Percy"

"Night night Steve", the child hummed holding his fish plushies closer to him. I pulled him closer without bothering the cords falling asleep myself.
