To Be Expelled Is To Be Expected

"This is why I didn't want Percy to learn to fight" I yelled looking at my teammates. Everybody had the decency to look chastised, everybody except Natasha.

Natasha shrugged "I didn't teach per say, he just likes watching me fight"

Percy took a step back as I looked at him "So Natasha has nothing to with that you hit another student?"

"Matt insulted Peter" Percy pouted, not answering my question.

Tony raised his eyebrows "And you decked him?" Percy nodded. Tony smiled "That's my nephew"

Percy beamed at his surrogate uncle. "Tony!"

He shrugged "Percy is being raised by an entire unconventional family of superheroes, honestly who didn't see this coming." Nobody raised their hand "Percy is going to defend people, fight bullies, and unfortunately get kicked out of school."

I huffed "Kiddo, you are still grounded but we will all be watching The Fox And The Hound" I turned to my team " Nothing is more important than friendship" Nothing.

The team takes a minute to get settled down for the night. Tomorrow we can worry about new schools, new threats, and new challenges. But tonight I want my son to know that friendship matters more.

"Uncle Thor what is this movie about?" I hear Percy asks quietly.

"I believe young one that the story will involve a fox and a hound." Thor's blue eyes never leaving the screen. Percy nodded to himself realizing that a god from a different world probably has not seen this movie either.

"Dad?"

I smiled "Watch the movie and find out"

"Hey Uncle Bruce?"

Bruce shook his head "I don't spoil movies."

Percy pouted "Aunt Tasha?"

Percy's wide sea green pleaded like a cute baby seal that needed answers "Uncle Clint?"

"Can't" Clint panicked for a moment but then came up with best excuse "Nat didn't have a childhood"

Finally Tony saw mercy to explain the plot "Two people that should hate become best friends become adults and are told they should hate each other but in the end flip off the universe and remain friends"

I smile as Percy tilts his head to the side. "Flip off?". I frown.

Tony thankful decides to take the high road "Just watch the movie Kiddo"

Percy turned to the starting movie and was entranced in less then a moment.

What would it be like to be told that you could not be friends with somebody? That would be insane, like saying New Yorkers couldn't be friends with Californians.

Percy was a bundle of trouble but he was the bundle of trouble that owned their hearts so they would find a new school. Hopefully he didn't get kicked out of anymore schools.
