Apartment Not Boulevard

When I awoke I saw that I was still asleep on Steve's shoulder even half tucked under his arm. I wanted to move but to a jerk like Smelly Gabe and wake him up. But it was to hard, I squirmed to play with Nemo but Steve woke up.

"Sorry to wake you" I sighed sadly.

Steve gave a light laugh, "Look at the window" I did so, the sun had just begun to rise "I usually wake up early. If the Sun is up so am I".

"What time is it?", I ask poking him.

Without hesitation he grinned, "Time to get a watch". I groan.

Natasha took that moment to take a picture, "First Dad joke, Tony will be so proud" She looked at me "It is 7 so actually not that early". I giggled at Steve's face.

I look at Steve and ask take to get up. "Sure Bud but be careful." I nod. "Hungry?"

"Food"

Steve takes my hand and leads me to the kitchen. Everyone greeted us as we eat in a mix of "Good morning friends" "Happy to see your up" "Steve said a dad joke. I am so proud Rodgers".

Bruce smiled at me "We are going to get your stuff from the apartment, okay?" I shake my head. Nope that is not okay. I don't want to go back there."

"We won't be there long and I'll be with you". I sigh but nod.

I walked into the apartment Natasha behind me in person beside me. Percy held my hand for dear life, like Gabe was going to attack him. Tony said he would buy Percy new everything but I knew that somethings can not be replaced. We are here to find those things.

"Do you see anything you want bring back -?" I pause looking at Natasha and now and mouth 'Do we have the right to call the tower home?'.

He glances around the trash apartment then hides behind my leg "I don't like this place. Can we go home, please". Well that answers that question.

I've been down to phone message and tell him we can go after he shows me his room. Then we won't have to be here anymore, ever.

"I don't have a room. I sleep in Smelly Gabe's study, the room to the left.". I nod walking to the room and am shocked to see it was littered with beer cans , broken glasses, cigar butts,  and tobacco.

Natasha is still walking , unsuspecting of the horror that poison this room is fulled with. When she did reach the doorway  she growled like a wolf or maybe  a servant of Trigon. We looked at Percy to see him looking at the floor like somehow this was his fault. "He is a dead man". She glared at me in a challenge-me-I-dare you way. I didn't. She looked at Percy "Do you have a preference on how he dies?". Percy shook his little head. "Percy name something you like, I'll kill him with that".

Percy didn't even hesitate to answer "I like you and Steve". My heart would have melted if the topic was not murder.

"We like you too but, Steve is a person not a weapon." I smiled at her. "What else do you like?"

Percy moved a couple of cans and sat on the filthy carpeted floor. He thought for a moment then his eyes lit up "I love the color blue". He walked to twin sized bed and crawled underneath it. Before I could tell her not to kill Ugliano, Percy returned with a bag of blue candy. "Try", the little boy demanded.

Percy lifts the bag to us. I let Natasha try it first being closer to him. Her eyes widen as she tastes it. "I love it Percy." She smiles making him bounce with joy. Now the only thing that  reminds that she is going to kill somebody is murder fulled eyes.

"Try", Percy demanded. I plucked one and ate it. The flavor burst into my mouth like a tiny glimpse of heaven. "Thanks bud".

That moment I noticed a book titled "Greeks for Geeks". I had no meaning to me but something inside told me that I would need it. I grabbed the book and a few toys and cloths . "Natasha, we got what we need. It is time to go"

She shook her head "Head to the park, Percy needs it, I meet you there". I sigh but nod.

"Please don't do anything illegal."

She smirked "I do what I want Captain."

I watched them leave in one of Tony's cars which happened to be blue, much to Percy's pleasure. I took a deep breath, Gabe Ugliano was going to die painfully. I knew that parents always  had books on parent so Steve will need those, If this going the way I hope it is.

I walk into the other bedroom and this one is worse then Percy's. Everything is everywhere like an insane pig lived here, not that was far from the truth.

I tried to look around without stepping on anything but that was similar to using a wall as a door. Hopefully she hid a notebook that gave more inside into Percy's life.I finally reached the closet when I noticed that it was spotless. Everything was color coded and their were two suitcases labeled 'Montauk' .Then a little book caught my eye. Sally Jackson had a dairy.

I opened the first page and saw a hand written note. "Love, I will return to my land soon. my wife is no fool and knows I have been away to long. I will see you again. Your a queen among woman, I have not met  such a mortal woman in a thousand years. Our child will grow and I am sorry for what will happen to him. Sincerely, The Sea.'

I rolled my eyes how did Sally like this guy or Gabe. From 'Your a goddess' to 'Peasant' but everything has a down side 'abuse' and 'a cheater that ditched her with baby'.

I reached for my phone to call Steve "Hey I have his mother's dairy and That overstuffed soon to be dead sofa is not his genetic father."

The joy in his clear "And everything in the Universe is  right'.

I roll my eyes "He cheated on his wife to be her then left pregnant and alone"

"Never mind"

"I bring the book" I could hear a little voice. "Percy is with you?"

"We got Ice Cream would you like some?" I raise my eyebrow. "Percy is asking by the way" he adds.

I smirk "It's a date Captain". I could feel the heat of his blush. "Hand the phone to The kid please"

"Hi Tasha!" The child giggled "Do you want Ice Cream?

"Please and Thank you. You can pick out mine okay."

"Okay!"

With that I ended the call and started on my walk to the park.

Once I got there I was greeted by a bouncing nine year old and a slightly slumped Steve, whom handed me a blue Ice Cream. "Percy choose it.".

I smiled at Steve who had his attention on said child. Percy called him over to play a game only to be stopped by a mission.

"Time to go back-" Steve looked at me so I just nodded "home".
