Steph's P.O.V
"Well today is the day" I said to Rob as we climbed into his car to head to the school. I had to go in to the principals office first thing and find out what's going to happen with me. "You'll be fine don't worry" Rob said and kissed my forehead before pulling out and heading to the school. "I hope so I dont want to get suspended or expelled.
I headed straight to the office when I got in the school and waited to be called in. When I finally was my heart was racing and I was so nervous about what could happen. "Hey Steph" Mr. blythe said as I walked in. "Hello" I said nervously.
"So I have kind of hit a wall here, I have a teacher who no one has anything bad to stay about him and a student with the same situation. I was hoping someone would have something helpful" He said unsure about the situation. "Can I ask a question?" I asked. "Ya sure." "Okay well I know it's really non of my bussiness but did the people you asked about Mr. Fitzgerald happen to be all women?" I asked hoping it wouldn't get me in trouble. "They might have been why?" He asked confused.
"Well I mean think about it what happened in the gym and all these women have nothing but good things to say about him..." I tried to explain. He thought for a moment and realized what I was saying. "You do have a point but I can't solve this with just that." "Well have you asked any guys about him?" I questioned. "You know what I was about to but when I mentioned his name he grunted and pretended to get a phone call...I think he did anyway." He remembered. "Now who did you ask about me, guys, girls, teachers?" I asked. "little of them all." "And they had nothing but good things to say and half of them probably hardly know me" I continued.
"Okay okay I guess you do have a point let me just think about it, In the meantime I do have something else to ask you about, We just have to wait for someone." He said making me more nervous. What could it be about?
Someone knock on the door interupting our silence. "Come in" Mr.lythe said. In walked Rob and I suddenly realized where this was going and my heart dropped. "Have a seat Mr.Downey," Mr.Blythe said motioning to the chair next to me. We both looked at each other and Rob seemed awfully calm for a moment before looking at Mr.Blythe. What if Mr.Fizz told him about us? I thought to myself.
"Okay now I brought you two in here for a very serious reason." He said and the anticipation was killing me why couldn't he get it over with already. "I brought you in here because I was planning to throw a dance for the students in two weeks and I would like for you to help." He said and we both let out a quiet breath of releif that luckily he didn't hear. "What do you need our help for?" Rob asked. "Well I was planning to bring in a band or something, but no one seems to be available, so I thought why not have you two sing and some of the grade 12 music students can play or you can play your own songs." He suggested.
I raised my eyebrows in surprise and looked at Rob. I shrugged and said "Well I think it would be a great idea, but I mean only if you dont mind Mr.Downey,"I said with a smile. He smiled and agreed "Okay we'll do it." "Great so meet me back in here tomorrow at lunch and we'll talk about it," Mr.Blythe said. "Okay" We both said with big smiles.
"Oh and Steph you are free to skip gym today you have my permission but only until I get this figured out" Mr.Blythe added. "I hope you don't mean my class I didn't do anything did I?" Rob said looking serious but I knew he was joking. "Oh no she is definitely going to your class," Mr.Blythe said with a smile.
Just as we were about to close the door Mr.Blythe called us back. "One more thing" He said andheld up a CD...our CD. "Good job" He said with a smirk on his face. We awkwardly left the room and laughed when we walked into the empty hallway.
"Wow he knew all along and said nothing..." I said surprised. "I know actually umm I kind of told him like a long time ago..." Rob added. My jaw dropped and I hit his arm. "Well thanks for telling me, that's why you were so calm in there, I was flippin out!" I almost yelled. He laughed and said "hey no problem." "Oh if we weren't in school right now" I said frustrated. He winked and said "I know you want me but I have to get to class," Then walked towards his class. I sighed and looked at his butt for a moment then headed for my first period class aswell.
