"Oh it's going fantastic! Well it is for me anyway." Jayla said looking Nevaeh's direction. Then her mom said "Oh, wonderful, so your having fun at Nevaeh's house?" When Nevaeh heard that her eyes popped out of her head. Then she said, " What she -!" As soon as she started talking Jacob covered her mouth with a black bandana. Her mom quickly questioned, "What did you say Jay-bear" She whispered in response glancing around the room to see if anyone heard, "Mom I love you but I said don't call me that.!" "Mhm whatever" said her mom. Snickers came from across the room at once. "Uh okay mom bye." She said. "No hun before you hang up see if it's okay for you to stay for the whole weekend." Oh, Jay responded with a sense of urgency her mom doesn't mind we're like sisters.
"Are you sure." Her mom said. "Yeah"she said hoping that her mom was finished talking now. "Well, if you say so, bye." She quickly hung up the phone. Jacob untied the black bandana. Nevaeh quickly started to scold at Jayla. "What you liar why did she ask if you were having fun at my house?" "Oh I guess your not really catching on yet. I told your mom you were at my house and told my mom I was at your house." She replied giving the whole story. "You smart little twinkle how could you? They actually believed you? I can't believed I called you a friend, BFF, or sister!!"
"Yep well I guess that's your only regret in life. We all have 'em."
"When this is all over i don't want you to ever say anything to me. If you just so much as look at me i'm calling the cops on you. That doesn't just go for Jayla that goes for every last one of you." KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK Someone was knocking one the front door. Gasped came from all over the room even from Nevaeh who was just ready for someone to open the door so she could scream for help.”No one say a word.” Demanded Jacob while he went to see who it could possibly be. BOOM BOOM BOOM!!! “It’s the police open up!” They couldn’t quite hear what he said but what they could hear is that he clearly wasn’t playing no games.
Jacob went to answer the door. “Yes sir may I help you?” The cop entered the house without approval. “Well you do know this is a vacant house you are in?” “Oh I’m sorry sir.” Jacob respectfully answered. “Yeah well I need to search the house because the police department received complaints by people driving pass of screaming. They said it sounded very disturbing.” Jacob and the police slowly walked around the vacant house. The police observing the rooms as they walked by each one. The police went through that part in there investigation where they ask a bunch of questions.
“So what’s your name?” Asked the police. “Um Nicholas.” Jacob lied. Question 2 from the police “Well, where are your parents.” Ooh that was a tough question. Jacob didn’t know what to say without him getting in trouble and without his parents getting in trouble. Jacob decided to keep his mouth shut and change the topic. “Uh I’m sorry sir, but I didn’t get your name.” That was the best he could do.
“Oh right, I’m sorry It’s Marcus. Detective Marcus that is.” Jacob was thankful and proud that the police couldn’t tel that he had changed the topic. Then he said, “oh nice to meet you sir.” Still thinking his name was Nicholas he said, “Same to you Nick.” He found nickname already. When Jacob and the police arrived in the room that everyone was in no one was in there. They must’ve hidden. Jacob thought to himself. After they checked the bedrooms upstairs the cop said, “Well, nice meeting you I didn’t see anything wrong, but imma let you off with a warning. The cop was now standing outside the door writing with a blue ink pen onto a flimsy yellow sheet of paper.
“On this sheet of paper states that you have until tomorrow afternoon to be outta here. Understood?” Confirmed the cop. “Yes Detective Marcus, yes I do.” Jacob kept his respect. “Okay bye now Nicholas you have a good day.” The cop said. “Thanks you too.”
