So think of this, what if when Frisk fell, none of the humans were dead (except Chara). Imagine if they had all decided to stay with Toriel instead of leaving the Ruins.
Wouldn't that be neat? Would Toriel even have enough room?! Probably not. But as long as they're safe, she's fine. But what if Frisk wants to leave? The humans go with Frisk on their journey through the Underground!
I actually see this as starting out kind of happy, but it turns sad as the kids slowly die. And for some reason, Frisk can't load their save file unless they die. It ends the same way though. Only Frisk remains as the others sacrifice themselves to protect Frisk the whole time.
