"No way..." Sherria hiccuped, hiding her eyes with a gloved hand dramatically. "I c-can't believe it!"

I wasn't paying attention to their antics.

The only thing I was focused on was the brown package in my hands, holding it loosely in my hands.

Virgo, the symbol of commitment and helping others.

I sigh, pushing a bundle of (h/c) locks behind my ear.

"There is somethings we need to discuss," Minerva's commanding voice came, so strong I felt forced to look up at her.

She was staring back at me, sharp eyes still condescending. However, they held something else, maybe triumphance, or maybe sadness.

It all clouded over once she resumed talking.

"Since we are receiving no more money," I choked. "We must take action. Tomorrow I will dismiss the final task for the servants, and arrange this mansion to my liking. As the letter of the jury said, he had no will made- meaning he left everything to me."

"And everyone," Sherry whispered, making Sherria snicker.

I don't answer or react.

A final task for my friends. Then she'll send them away, and leave me here with them.

Oh god, why won't you say anything? Speak up dammit, say something. This is your home- why are you letting them take control over you?!

"Miauw," I jerk my head towards the noise.

"Aaaw, Yuka-kun, come here," Sherria cooed, picking up the azure blue cat.

The cat had large, navy blue eyebrows- and beady black eyes, focused intently on the package in my hands.

"(y/n), call the servants in," Minerva said, but the dominant tone of her voice showed no room for arguing.

A moment later, the servants were all in line, and I stood behind them.

Beth, Ariana, Risley, Millianna, and Kagura stared motionlessly at their new mistress.

Minerva fanned her face with a black fan, intertwined with gold thread. It matched her ankle-length night black dress, supporting the occasion.

"Beth," her voice sounded suddenly ravenous. "I told you to remove the ivy. Not only from one side, but all sides," she said menacingly.

I think back on the memories with that beautiful plant, having been in the (l/n) heirloom for so long. I smile, proud of Beth and how she knew what the ivy meant.

Beth gulps, taking one step back.

"I- I wasn't sure what you meant," she stutters, and I wince as Minerva's eyes flash.

"There's no need to get panic," I say, coming from behind and standing in front of the quivering girl. I try to keep my own tremble out of my words.

Minerva's thin lips twist into a horrifying smile. "Very well then. All of you are dismissed, you can go home and not come back. (y/n), since you spoke quiet out of line, will complete their jobs tomorrow."

It's better than for them to suffer.

They all walk out, and Kagura mouths 'Until next time,'.

"(y/n), we are here, low with money," Minerva starts again.

I don't think I can stand her voice for much longer.

"And you are defending the biggest money deposit! I will not let you off the hook this easily."
