Sting's arms tightened around my soft waist.

"You ready?" he whispered from behind me in my ear, breath hitting the shell.

I nodded inaudibly, biting the inside of my cheek as goosebumps popped up on my (s/c) arms.

And with a tight jerk of his hands towards me, the horse brought up his front legs, pushed off on his hind legs, and we were flying through the air over the flood of water.

I shrieked undeliberately, the thought haunting on my mind that I was practically jumping over a river when there was a bridge a few meters away.

While Sting was having the time of his life laughing at my petrified, open-mouthed face, we landed safely on the other side in the soft grass.

"Oh god, why did I agree to this?" I moan, grabbing my stomach and leaning forward to ease the nausea.

"Hey, you were okay with it," my Prince teased, and his horse neighed happily in response.

The feeling in my stomach suddenly turned into a rather pleasant pleasure. The aftermath made the situation blank in my mind, the rush standing out from the rest.

The rush through midair was wonderful.

"Can we go again?" I ask excitedly, looking up at Sting from my stomach.

He grins at me, pinching my earlobe teasingly. "I knew you we're going to say that."

And off we went.

*

This was our sixth time before Rogue interrupted and told us we had to go.

I blushed in embarrassment since I had stalled everyone, while Sting laughed it off.

I had already seen the castle, but I couldn't help but let out a small 'aw' when I saw it for the second time.

The blonde smirked at me, noticing my awed state at his home.

We went straight to the royal blue-carpeted entrance, porters popping out of nowhere and taking the horses.

Sting slid off his horse with unnerving ease, while I gulped.

"Need help?" he says, raising an eyebrow. An unending tease.

"I'm fine, thanks," I snorted, before carefully swinging a leg to the same side.

I turned to face him, both legs dangling down the side of the horse. I slid off, my shoes hitting the pebbled ground with a tap.

"See?" I smile blindingly, proud of my little accomplishment.

He pouted like I expected him to, bottom lip curling cutely. "I wanted to carry you again..."

"AGAIN?!"

A sudden smile lights up my face as I see who comes violently barging down the stairs.

Kagura's plum hair stands out in the sun, a seething expression in her golden eyes.

From the corner of my eyes, I see Sting and Orga gulp, stepping back reflexively. I laugh; no one can take Kagura's rage.

She pulls me into a one armed hug, my face smashing into her shoulder. "You!" she points a finger at Sting accusingly, ready for a serious lecture. "What do you think you are doing! Carry her again, who do you think you-"

"Kagura," I silence her with a smile and a finger on her lips. She goes scarlet at the contact. "It's okay, no need to panic or anything."

She goes even redder. "I wasn't panicking..."

"But why are you here?" I ask her, glancing back at Sting.

The guards had already left, as well as Rufus and Orga, who had slinked back nervously. Only Rogue stood protectively behind his Prince, probably waiting for some sort of girly attack on him by Kagura.

"I was employed her a few days ago," she grumbled. "But why didn't you tell me that you- you, you know, the Ball..." her voice dropped a few tones, embarrassed.

I could see a guard come up behind me and bow to Sting, who nodded back in royal fashion. It dawned on me yet again that I was in unfamiliar territory- noble territory.

Nerves creeped onto my back, seemingly sinking their nails into my soft flesh. I gulped in anxiety as the guard left.

Me and Sting made eye contact; the same thought passing through both our minds.

He should probably make our presence known.

"(y/n)?" Kagura's voice snaps me back to reality.

"(y/n), we should be going. Miss Kagura," Sting had slid a protective arm around my waist, giving Kagura a bow.

She fought off a curtesy, glaring instead.

We moved up the steps, Sting's white boots clanking on the steps while mine were much quieter.

I swear that for a moment I saw him send a victorious grin to Kagura, but it was gone when I blinked.

As we approached the open entrance, his arm was still around my waist. "Sting, my dress is dirty..." I tell him, pushing off his arm with a small frown.

"I don't care about that," he whispered, placing a small kiss on the top of my head.

The moment I stepped in the interior of the palace, I can't help but admire the surroundings.

The golden marbled floor, sparkling crystal chandeliers, the flecks of blue that fitted so well to the area and our country. The ceiling was high and arched, portraits of previous kings with boring neutral expressions hanging in perfect rows.

"Welcome, Royal Princess," all the servants bowed in sync, their voices echoing through the large chamber.

I gulped in nervosity.

"Hey, don't be nervous," Sting whispered to me, gently taking my arm in his.

I was about to say something back, before a bunch of hollering got my attention instead.

"Princess! Princess!"

A very bright pink haired girl was waving at me frantically from across the room.

And when I say bright, I mean neon. She had flowing flamingo pink hair put up in a ponytail, clad in an adorable and modest blue maid uniform. The blue matched the carpet.

She came running over to me on a pair of tall brown boots, and I noticed another figure behind her.

She looked calm compared to her hyped companion, all serious with black-purple hair and skin as white as snow.

"Hi!" the pinkette ran up to me, oblivious of Sting due to her excitement. "I'm Meredy! I'll be your maid, and that over there is Ultear!"

Ultear curtsied low and formally, not making eye contact with either me or Sting. Meredy seemed to realize the Prince's presence, and quickly curtsied with an exuberant smile.

"I'm (y/n), nice to meet you!" I giggle, curtseying back in my old dress.

Surprisingly, Ultear and Meredy frowned at that. It twinged at my heart as they spoke, "Your highness, please refrain from such informal behavior."

My heart plummeted downwards, and I stared at them with wide eyes. "Pardon me, I don't understand what you're trying to say."

Ultear looked at me square in the eye, few inches taller. "Before her Highness can meet our Beloved King, she will have to learn proper behavior in the Royal Family."

"All in all, we shall teach you how to be a Queen."
