"Cinder?! Cinder?!" Everytime Minerva cried out that name her voice went a note higher. "Cinderella! Oh where is that-"
"Yes? Here I am," a voice came, and a side door was opened revealing a ragged-dressed girl.
Minerva sighed in relief, surprising Cinder, as she leapt back down the stairs. "My daughters, where are they?" she addressed, pale fingers clutching at her ruby red dress.
"Ah- I think they're still in bed," Cinder, otherwise known as (y/n), said back timidly, holding a broom in her hand.
Minerva clicked her tongue loudly in annoyance, before bringing up her dress by the skirt. "Well don't just stand there! Bring up the breakfast trays at once! And hurry!"
The threat was dealt out quickly and promisingly. The stepmother scurried up the marble stairs, even being rushed she was elegant. (y/n) turned back through the door she came from, and two mice appeared behind her as well.

My black flats hit the floor loudly as they slapped against the wooden floor. In side corridors like these, the floor was always wooden- but by places like the stairs and rooms, they were tiled.
I took the tray I had already prepared from the kitchen counter. Two plates were narrowly placed on the wide tray, as well as two glasses of milk and two serving dishes for each. One filled with maple syrup and the other with chocolate, to accompany the pancakes.
I easily picked it up, having gotten used to the heavy weight of carrying two breakfasts.
I made my way upstairs, before hearing the scolding voice of my stepmother loud and clear. "Sherria? Sherria? Get up, Sherria!"
A sleepy voice responded back. "Oooh," a yawn. "What for?"
I peek into the room to see the younger sister wearing a magenta pink nightgown and a matching cap for her hair.
She had her pillow over her head, and I could just see her eyes peek out from under the floppy cap. "why?"
"Oh, everyone is talking about it!" Minerva said, opening the curtains so light invaded the room. She turned back to her daughter, while the other slumped in, not having seen me yet. "The whole kingdom! Oh, hurry now he'll be here in a minute!"
Sherry came stumbling into the room, she wearing a lime green gown instead. "Who will?" she yawned, her voice coming out deep and sleepy.
"The Grand Duke, a Royal Knight! He's been hunting all night!" the ravenette spoke, throwing open the closet and looking for an appropriate gown.
I hesitantly entered the room, scared of where the conversation was going.
Rogue is a Royal Knight, but he isn't a grand duke. And why would he come here? Would it... have to do with... the Prince?
My stomach went into an immediate panicked frenzy, thoughts running through my head like herds of horses.
"Hunting?" Sherry groaned, sitting up.
Oh god, I have a bad feeling about this. Who is he... hunting?
"For that girl!" Minerva replied in an obvious tone, and I froze, my grip tightening on the silver handles of the tray. The milk shook in response. "The one who lost her slipper at the ball last night! They say he's madly in love with her!"
A meticulously warm feeling spread through my body, head to toe the moment those words left her mouth. He's madly in love with her?
Does that mean... he's madly in love with me?
