Six: New Home

You opened the hotel room and shut the door behind you. You looked around, trying to think of everything you may need. You had to listen to Freddy and Bon-Bon "ooh" and "ahh" all the way to the hotel, since it was their first time to see the outside world. You had laughed a couple times when they had questions about the goofiest of things and goofiest of places.

You picked up your suit case and set it on the bed. You pulled your earbuds out and put Freddy on speaker. You set him up on your nightstand and faced the front camera to capture the entire room. You had learned earlier that they used both the front and back cameras to see out of, and you thought it was pretty cool. You began pulling things from drawers and from the closet. You put away your clothes, not planning to fold them, and found yourself having to put the camera down so Freddy and Bon-Bon didn't see you stuff your underwear and bras into the case. You closed it up and zipped it shut before you gave Freddy his "eyes" again.

"That seems to be it. I cleaned the drawers and closet of all my clothes, and I packed the shampoo and conditioner into the bag this morning. I don't have anything else." You could hear giggles from your phone and you raised an eyebrow. "Something funny, guys?"

The distinctive giggle of Bon-Bon made you curious. You asked again, "guys?"

"Oh! Freddy's just enjoying the view! That's all!" Bonnie said in a perky yet evil like tone.

You didn't understand, but heard Freddy panic and try to tell Bon-Bon off.

"N-No Bon-Bon! St-stop that! That is n-not appropriate!!" He scolded, stuttering softly.

You shrugged and grabbed your phone. You put the earbuds back in and shoved your phone into your pocket. You grabbed the suit case and your bag, putting it on your back and dragging the suitcase to the door. You checked one last time, knowing you wouldn't be coming back. "Goodbye, hotel room," you said, about to leave.

"Goodbye, hotel room!" Freddy and Bonnie said in unison.

You couldn't help but chuckle at the two and close the door.

You checked out of the hotel, but not before Mike could ask why.

"I was offered a place to stay nearby," you lied, trying to seem reasonable. Freddy and Bonnie had been quiet since you began talking to him.

"That's too bad...it was good having a friend here to at least know," Mike said with a smile.

You blushed and waved him off. "You're hilarious. You'll be fine and I'm sure you have a whole lot of friends."

Mike shrugged. "Anyways, you have a good time at your new place. The job seems to be going good, since you don't seem to be dead."

You gave him a look, hearing the animatronics heartbeats in your ears.

"Joking! Joking!" he said quickly. "I was just joking, pal. Hey, be safe for me. I'll see you some time around?" He waved to you, walking into the room behind the counter.

You waved slowly and began your way out.

"What was that all about?" Bonnie asked with a huff. Freddy was keeping quiet.

"A friend from high school. His name is Mike. He works at that hotel. We were cool," you told the bunny, and he gave a "hmmm" before staying quiet.

You put your luggage in your car and closed the trunk, then got in.

"You okay there, Freddy?" You asked, raising an eyebrow as you turned them on speaker. "You seem a bit quiet."
