Baby opened the door, stepping aside to let you in. "Try not to wake him up," she mumbled, "unless you or Bon can turn him on. From what Foxy told me, he's turned off so he can regain his thoughts and calm down." She sighed quietly as she crossed her arms. "Foxy also told me he was a little difficult to take care of, and Freddy gave him quite a hard time."
You were a little confused by her story. "But he seemed fine last I spoke with him, before he passed out, I guess." You sighed and looked toward the stage, where Freddy was sat up against the wall, his hand puppet in his arms beside him. Bon looked as if he was asleep too, yet you couldn't quite tell from the doorway. You whimpered weakly, recalling how Jack treated the small bunny, throwing him into tables and chairs. You wondered how much pain the poor fella went through. Probably not as much as Freddy, but the two were inseparable at the mind. What if he felt Freddy's pain too?
"Foxy said he woke up a little...out of place: wild-eyed, snapping, and sort of being protective. But we figured it was his programming acting out, and after he 'ate' Jack, we figured it was him defending you or himself, too," Baby explained. "Sorry I didn't mention earlier, but I thought you needed some time to catchup and relax."
You nodded and thanked her. You slowly walked into the room and yawned weakly. "I'm still quite sleepy," you muttered, "What time is it, if you know?" You asked, crawling onto the edge of your bed. You crossed your legs, holding your head with your hands as your elbows rested against your knees.
Baby hummed and closed her eyes. "It's about 4:00 AM...maybe later than that. You won't be getting much sleep." She sighed as she looked to Freddy for a few minutes, before saying anything else. "He likes you quite a lot," she said, then eyed you. "You noticed it, right?"
You huffed and blushed lightly, looking to the side as you wondered whether to admit it or to wait for Freddy to be there with you to confess your relationship. "Well," you began. You noticed Baby squint, a little impatiently, but she wasn't going to say herself that she was in a hurry. "Well, yes, I did notice." You nodded and held your arms, whispering quietly, "He came to me, and told me how he felt. I didn't expect it, really. I wasn't sure at first of how to even respond to him." You sat down on the edge of your makeshift bed. "He said these things I never heard anyone say, and if anyone ever did say them in the past, it definitely wasn't like the way he presented it." You took a deep breath. "It was real, genuine appreciation...and love." You closed your eyes and smiled, thinking about the bear. You two had grown so close as friends, and you were his closest besides little old bon. No other human besides the children were close enough to him like you were.
Baby hummed and raised an eyebrow as she watched your expressions change. She smiled and chuckled softly.
You looked up and noticed that her smile looked different. It wasn't plaster like you usually understood it to be, but it looked real, too. It looked like she was actually smiling with content, expressing the "proud mom" vibe you hadn't seen from her before. You snorted weakly, "What's with that look?"
Baby hummed, then blushed lightly in slight embarrassment. She snorted and looked away, "This is just my normal face, I always look like this. You should know." She mumbled, nodding her head as she agreed with herself. "Though, it is very nice to see Freddy happy...happier, more or less." She sighed quietly, "I hope we can all be as happy as him someday," she spoke to herself, hoping you couldn't hear her low tone.
You huffed, and you rolled your eyes in disbelief at her sass from before. You sighed and laid back against your bed, the pillows cushioning you gently. They were soft, comfortable, and honestly made you just as sleepy as you expected. You decided to say your goodbyes to the tall robot, since you were losing the urge to stay awake for much longer. "Thanks for your help, Circus Baby..." yet, when you tried to fall right back to sleep, you remembered one of the most notorious questions anyone could possibly answer. "Wait, what's today?" You sat up and opened an eye, fighting to stay awake just a minute more to hear her response. You had no way of knowing what tomorrow was. Everything that had happened now was making it hard to recall the day in that dark underground realm.
