You picked up your phone from where it was plugged in to the wall. You're phone had died an hour ago, but, thankfully, it had enough to actually allow you to play a game on it. You sat against the wall and kept your phone on charge while you played Angry Birds. "Damn. I missed one pig..." you muttered. You heard shuffling and looked up to see Freddy back in the Breaker Room. You waved and smiled. "Heya, Freddy."
Freddy smile and waved back. He tilted his head after a moment and slowly walked over. "Wh-what are you doing?" he asked innocently, wiggling his ears.
"Oh, playing a game on my phone," you responded, shrugging. "A little boring honestly," you said after a second.
Freddy sat down in front of you and watched silently, until his puppet detached and hopped into your lap, causing you to almost drop your phone.
"I wanna watch! I wanna watch!" the bunny puppet chirped, giggling after.
Freddy gave a soft gasp and tried to reach for him. "B-Bon-Bon! Y-you know n-not to go j-jumping around i-in people's laps!"
You smiled and waved him off. "No, no, Freddy, it's okay. I don't mind. Here, why don't you join us?" you offered, patting the place next to you.
Freddy's cheek plates turned a slight pink, but he accepted and crawled over, sat down, and watchedyou and your phone. "Huh..."
"What's up?" You looked up at him, your eyebrow raised.
"I-It l-looks really hard..." he said in almost a confused tone.
You shrugged and continued playing. "It's okay...I mean, there are different levels and such, so it gets harder the more levels you beat." You smiled and held out the phone to him. "Would you like to try?"
"I wanna try! I wanna try!" Bon-Bon yelled happily, grabbing at the phone but failing as you pulled it away from him.
"Wait your turn, Bon-Bon..." you said softly, looking back to Freddy. "So?"
Freddy was hesitant at first, but finally nodded. "Y-You hold it, though, I-I'll just do the other stuff..." he said softly.
You smiled and nodded, holding the phone in front of him. "Here, let me show you how it works. You see these birds? You slingshot them toward a fort made by these pigs--"
"Why shoot the pigs? What did they do to the birds?" Bon-Bon asked, tilting his head. Freddy nodded in agreement.
"Well, the pigs stole the birds eggs to eat for themselves, and it was rude of them. They are enemies of the birds, so the birds fight back by destroying their fort," you explain to the two, who "oooh" in understanding. "Let me demonstrate." You carefully placed your finger on the screen, pulled the bird back and slung him across to hit the fort, causing a pig to "poof" from existence.
"Oh! You hit one!" Bon-Bon cheered happily, clapping his hands. "I want to try!" he said, but you held up your finger. "Freddy first, Bon. Here, Freddy, you try now; try to hit the other pig." You held the phone in front of him, and he squeaked softly.
Freddy looked at you as his cheeks became a little more pink. He nodded and reached his finger out, slowly touching the screen, dragging back the virtual slingshot, then letting the bird go. He watched as the bird hit the top of the tower and fell, not hitting a single pig. "Aww! I d-didn't hit o-one!" Freddy pouted, crossing his arms.
You giggled and gave Bon-Bon a try. "It takes practice, Freddy, plus it is a strategic--"
"I hit one! I hit one!" Bon-Bon said happily, clapping and giggling even more.
Freddy huffed and tapped his foot as he narrowed his eyes at his little friend.
You bit your lip, a little chuckle in your throat desperately wanting to be released. You sighed and put your phone away. "Okay, so, maybe it takes longer for other people." You looked at Freddy, who still seemed upset. "Hey, it's just a game. Don't worry, you'll get better, I'm sure. How 'bout we play another game instead?" you suggested, grabbing Freddy's attention.
