Maggie's pov
Alex was still sleeping, hearing her snore was so adorable. I let her sleep and got dressed. After half an hour, I opened the curtain, and Alex stirred up because of all the sunlight that was coming into the room. She had that sleepy look on her face.
"Morning, beautiful. Did you sleep well?" I asked.
"Yes, last night was the most amazing night of my life." she sleepily replied.
"Mine, too. Now, what do you want to do today, Danvers?"
"What do you think of going to the beach? I'd like to sunbathe and swim a little."
"Oh, yeah. Seems fun, let's go to the beach."
"I'll be dressed in 10 minutes." she lovingly answered, after giving me a kiss.
Alex and I took some things and went to the beach. We chose a nice spot and put our deck chairs on the sand. Alex wanted to go in the water, but I said that I'm not a fan of the water so I pulled a book out of my bag and started reading. An hour later, a guy who was sitting a few metres further, came to me.
"Hello, I'm Marcus Cadwell." the unknown man said with an Italian accent.
"H- Hello... Do I know you?" I hesitantly asked.
"No, but you're about to. I've been looking at you since you arrived at the beach and you didn't notice me so I decided to introduce myself to you. What's your name?"
"I'm Maggie." I answered.
"And no last name?"
"Sawyer, Maggie Sawyer. Why have you been staring at me?"
"Well, you are very pretty. I noticed that you came with a friend. Is this your first time in Italy?"
"Yes, I'm on a vacation."
"Why don't you come with me for a drink? Just say to your friend that you'll be away for half an hour."
"I'm sorry, but I'm going to disappoint you. I'm actually married to someone." I answered, while showing him my wedding ring.
"That's okay, your husband doesn't have to know about this whole thing."
"Okay, back up. First of all, I'm married like I said. And second of all, you see that woman in the red bikini?" I asked, while pointing to Alex.
"Yes, that's your friend."
"No, amigo. That's my wife I'm pointing at. We're on our honeymoon."
"Oh-Oh God, I'm so sorry. Excuse me, I'll just go."
"That's okay, buddy. There are plenty of other fish in the sea." and Marcus left with a red face.
Alex came out of the water and ran to me. I handed over her towel, she dried off her body with it. She looked at me with a weird face.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked.
"Well, I just saw you talking to a good- looking guy. Is there something going on between you two? she joked.
"No, he just came up to me to ask me out."
"He did what?" she surprisedly asked.
"Don't worry, I rejected him. You are the only one I want to go out with." I comforted. "Are you getting jealous, Mrs. Sawyer?"
"Maybe a little. You're my wife after all, I'm the only one who gets to have you."
"Of course, sweetie. Do you want to get an ice cream?"
"Oh, yeah! I want to have three scoops!" Alex excitedly expressed.
"Then, it's time to go. Let's take our things and go on a search for an ice cream truck."
