20. A birthday surprise

3 weeks later

Maggie's pov

Alex and I were ready to expand the Sawyers. We decided that my eggs would get fertilized and that Alex would carry the baby. We started the procedure as soon as we had that conversation. It has been going great so far, my eggs were already put in Alex's belly. Now, we are waiting to see if Alex is really pregnant. I hope it works, I can't wait to have a little kid in the house. I ordered Alex to take it easy because catching aliens can put a lot of pressure on you. I just realized that my birthday is coming up in a week and a half, so it would be really awesome if I could announce our possible pregnancy to our family. My life has been one hell of a dream because of her, I still can't believe that I'm married to this woman. She really is my soulmate.

1 week later

Alex' pov

I've been feeling a little sick and dizzy lately, so I decided to buy a pregnancy test. I hope that I'm pregnant, but there's also a chance that it can be something else. Sometimes, your first fertilization can go wrong. I went to the chemist and bought a pregnancy stick. I went back to our apartment and went straight to the bathroom. A few minutes later, I let out a scream of joy. Two little stripes on the stick, I'm pregnant!!!

On Maggie's birthday

We invited everyone at our apartment. Kara, J'onn, Mon-El, James, Winn, Eliza and Robert were all there. I haven't told Maggie that I was pregnant because I thought that it would be better if I did it on her birthday. We were just planning to sing 'Happy Birthday' to her.

"Happy Birthday, dear Maggie. Happy birthday to you!" everyone yelled.

"Happy Birthday, baby." I congratulated before kissing her.

"Thank you, sweetie."

I tapped on my glass of water and I coughed a little. The whole room went silent.

"Thank you for being here to celebrate Maggie's birthday. I just want to say that I'm so grateful for her. She is the love of my life and my soulmate, I could not think of one person who could make me this happy." I joyfully expressed.

I turned to Maggie and took both of her hands.

"I love you so much, Maggie. I finally found what I've been looking for. You accept me for who I am and I wouldn't change it for the world. And finally, I just want to say that our little nugget is going to have such a bad- ass mommy."

"Our what?" she asked with a confused look.

"I'm pregnant, sweetie. We're going to have a baby!" I said.

"I love you so much, Alex!" and Maggie lovingly kissed me.

"I love you too, Maggie!"

Alex and Maggie had been through a lot together, but it was time to add someone to their little family. They were ready to become parents, they were ready for Another Love.
