He locked his car and took my hand. The glares from the students in the car park was a picture. Most where looking at me wondering who the hell I am, others recognised me from the milkshake incident.
Miles pulled me with him as we walked up the steps into the school. His thumb brushed against my index finger over and over, reassuring me that this was ok.
I feel like I am committing a crime by being seen with this boy. Why do things have to be like this? Why is all of the attention on us like we are under one huge spotlight?Jesus Christ, he is only human. Why is he getting so much attention, surely it can't be just because he is the school's hottest bad boy?
I looked over to the side of lockers where there were more boys on the football team looking over. Miles high fived one of them then continued our walk. Where are we going?
He stopped off by a locker, typed in the combination then opened up the door.
"See, not so bad." He chuckled taking out a text book and putting it in his backpack.
"You kidding me? How do you do that everyday? Why are so many people staring at you?" I asked shaking my head in confusion.
"They weren't staring at me, they where staring at you." He said.
"Yea but they are staring at me because I am with you so technically, they are staring at you." I said back with a brief smile on my face.
"What lesson do you have now?" He changed subject.
"English." I moaned looking over my shoulder at three girls. One of them I recognised.
Bella.
"Okay, I will see you at lunch alright?" He said shutting his locker door and turning to face me. For one second I thought he was going to kiss me but instead he just winked and walked the other way.
What was I expecting?
When Miles walked away I was instantly hit by the three girls, Bella and her two minions.
"Fuck sake." I said in my steps but I was now being blocked off by Bella.
"I thought you weren't fucking." She said turning her head slightly. We where nose to nose, her two minions had backed off.
"We aren't, there is something called friends, you may of heard of it." I said slightly laughing at how pathetic these girls are.
"Something amusing?" Bella asked flicking her blonde hair off her shoulder. I felt intimidated by her height. She towers above me.
"Just piss off alright. Go find someone else to entertain." I pushed past her but after a few steps she was at my side again.
"You know, as soon as Aggie is back, she will want him back and she will get him." She said seething. I was now walking pretty fast but as she was in heels she was taking a little longer to keep up with me.
I stopped abruptly. "And she can have him. I'm not stopping her. I need to go." I walked off and this time luckily, she didn't follow me.
English was hell. My stomach was burning and I felt light headed. I can't concentrate at what the teacher is saying. I am just trying to lip read and hoping that my brain will attempt to absorb the information for me but no. As the bell rang I learnt nothing.
"Homework is to analyse this chapter and write an essay on why you think the author portrayed the main character like he did." The teacher said writing it on the board. Most students wrote it down in their school diary but other's simply took a photo of the board. I really can't be bothered for this. I will just get Kieran my classmate to send it to me.
