Chapter 26 - Time to Own up

I pushed open the large doors to the school hall, it was packed. There are student's all cramped on the chairs and up against the walls and some have resulted in sitting in the walk way in the middle. Because I didn't want to attract any attention to myself I moved to the left and leant against the wall next to a teacher. 

There was a large man in a suit on the stage. He had his hand on the microphone stand positioning it to meet his small height. 

"Openhay Collage." He simply said tutting under his breath. "Today two girls have been hospitalised from the result of a prank. After some tests the doctors have done, laxative's were found in the blood of both of these girls. Now, I know that this meant to be a joke, trust me I was a teenager once and I used to play stupid pranks on my peers too but there is a point where it goes too far and it has reached it's point here. For the result of this harmful prank, we would like the person or people who were responsible for this to go to the head master's office immediately after this. If we have not had anyone come to us by Friday then we will be interviewing each and every one of you until we get the answer. Treat this very seriously, thank you." He walked off the stage and went over to another man at the side. The entire school stood up and walked out. I was speechless. I swallowed a lump in my throat and a familiar nervous feeling appeared through my stomach. 

I am screwed.

"Right guys, we need a plan." Ferne said pacing the bathroom. Mia, Tiff, Anna and I were sat on the sinks all thinking. 

"We could just say that they were bullying us and it was self defence." Mia said.

"That's stupid Mia, how can putting laxatives in someone's drink be self defence." Anna shook her head. "There is nothing we can do apart from own up, don't you get it, some way they will find out that it was us weather we like it or not so let's just play it safe and go and confess." 

"We will be expelled." Tiff moaned.

"Well I don't know about all of you but I am going." 

"Anna wait!" I said pushing myself of the surface. "You're right but I am the only one here who needs to confess." They all looked at me in confusion. "I dragged all of you into this so this is my problem let me deal with it." 

"No way Georgia, you can't do that. We all had something to do with it so we are all confessing. I am sure with us all they will have to come to some kind of agreement. I kind of agree with Mia in some ways, we should use bullying as a case because that's the truth." Ferne said shaking her head once again.

"Can we do it tomorrow though, I think we should all sleep on it and maybe one of us will have a plan in the morning." Anna said. 

We all agreed and left the bathroom. I walked over to my locker to grab some of my maths homework when my phone vibrated. 

It was a text from Mum. 

Dad and I are out tonight, go to Webb's house at six o'clock to babysit Angus and Kammy:) No mattresses this time! love M xx 

I glared down at my phone screen and sighed. Can this day get any worse? I can't believe Layton told Mum, I mean a little bit of me knew that she would tell her but I was hoping that maybe she could have kept it to herself, it's just awkward now. 

Slamming my locker shut I set off back home. It was nice to get some fresh air, I need it but then the thought of Me and Miles Webb alone at his house again set off another feeling in my stomach. Miles now hates me but then he likes me, he kissed me then hates me again.
