Miles intertwined his fingers with mine as we walked back to the house. As we walked up to the front door I couldn't help but to turn around and give my home a good stern look. Luckily, that house isn't full of any good memories so I don't look at it with sadness. I just look at it with betrayal as all it holds is lies and secrets.
Actually, the Webb's home is more homely that mine is. I feel like I actually belong with the Webb's. I certainly have their hospitality to thank for that.
"Everything okay?" Miles asks questioning, slightly tugging on my hand. With that, I moved closer to him.
"Yep." I said, giving him a brief smile. Once he was satisfied with my answer we walked through the door of the house.
Miles being a gentleman let me go in first and then he simply kicked the door shut behind me. I started to make my way to the kitchen but I was stopped by a strong force that is known as Miles Webb. His two hands landed on my waist and he pulled me into him. The gap wasn't evident for long because the next thing I knew was his lips on mine.
It had more power than any other kiss we have shared. It holds passion. It feels like everything.
Our lips moved in rhythm with each others. I want to be close to him. I want to share this moment with him.
Swiftly, I brought my hands up to his neck and I pulled him down to reach my height. How can you like someone this much? A person that I despised only up to a few months ago. Someone who rules my life now but in the best way possible.
Just as Miles was about to pick me up by the looks of it, someone cleared their throat to the right of me.
Oh shit, not again.
Miles instantly pulled away and looked at the person in question. There stood Layton, leaning by the wall next to the living room door with her lips twitched into a small smile. She had her arms crossed over her abdominal and her eyes where surveying us intensely.
Is Layton actually happy that we are opening making out in the hallway of her house?
"Mum." Miles said, more alerted than normal. He looked down to me then back at his mother who looks more than happy with what's going on here.
"I think you two love birds should get some sleep." She uncrossed her arms and started for the stairs. "Don't you just love sleep?"
What's going on? She has this mischievous look in her eyes that is impossible to understand.
"Go on." She said now pausing, allowing us to go up first.
Without saying anything, Miles and myself both walked towards to staircase in silence, at the same time we where both keeping half an eye on Layton. I wonder if Miles is as confused as I am.
"Actually, before you both disappear." She said with a hint of amusement in her tone. Yep, she is definitely liking the fact that we are romantically involved.
We both nodded and waited for her question. "Is this...a thing?" She pointed between both Miles and myself.
I'm going to let Miles do the talking as right now I don't have the confidence to say anything. I am more humiliated at the fact that Layton has walked in on us twice making out. She must think that I am a real type.
"Mum, Georgia is my girlfriend." Miles spoke up.
My stomach turned in the best way possible at his words. Oh gosh, it's even better when he says it out loud. Our status still hasn't quite sunk in yet. Any second now I am going to be woken up from this dream.
