At last I was free and those last steps out of the hospital doors had been the first towards the beginning of my new life with the boys, and I couldn’t wait to see what our time together would bring us next.

(HARRY’S POV)

“Here we are, home at last.” Louis swung open the door and we made our way though to our separate bedrooms to dump our bags before going back to the kitchen for some late lunch. By the time I got there an array of ingredients had been laid down across the marble countertop and Nora’s head popped back up from under the other side of the bench.

“Where do keep your cutting boards?” A quizzical look was on her face and I reached up to one of the higher cabinets to get one down for her.

We keep our cutting boards up here.” She smiled as I passed it down to her and then continued on with what she had been doing prior to the interruption.

“So, what’re you doing?” I sat down on one of the stools and spun the seat around to face her, watching as she delicately sliced cheese, lettuce, chicken and other condiments for the contents of our sandwiches.

“Oh right I forgot to ask, what do you guys want on your sandwiches?” I chuckled and was about to answer when Louis stumbled into the room and collapsed down onto the couch.

“Oh my god what smells so good?” He had his eyes closed but his face was lit up with a smile and he waited for Nora to pause her busy work to answer him.

“Oh I’m just heating up some leftovers you guys had incase you were hungry.” She looked up and gestured to three different choices for me to have on my sandwich so I got up and made my way over to the other side of the bench to help her.

“Oh no really, you go sit back down, I’ll make it,” She shooed me out of the kitchen and I was left to watch as she worked around the kitchen, so light on her feet that it was as if she was dancing around while she made our lunch. I laughed to myself while I watched her; still unable to believe what luck we had in finding her.

“Alright, there you go.” She slid the plate across the table and I eagerly tucked in to my first homemade lunch in weeks. Within minutes the whole sandwich had been devoured and I raised my eyebrow questioningly as Nora began to giggle from the other side of the kitchen. I turned to face Louis and the second he saw me he began to laugh too.

“Come on is there something on my face?” I mumbled through my last mouthful and Nora just continued to laugh as she made her way over to me and grabbed a cloth on the way.

“Stay still.” She demanded trying not to laugh as she wiped away a huge smear of mustard from the side of my face.

“Thanks babe.” I hopped up from the stool, kissed her on the cheek and walked back through the apartment towards the bathroom. “I’m just going to have a shower, okay?” They called out answers but I had already shut the door and turned on the stream of hot running water.
I welcomed the steaming hot water as it spilled down my back and allowed for me to relax and unwind while it rid me off all the knots in my back that had come as a result of the unruly amount of stress I had been under lately.

I seemed to have been lost in my thoughts for quite a while because soon enough Louis began knocking on the door to make sure I was all right.

‘Yeah, yeah I’ll be out soon.” I shut the water off and stepped out of the shower, my hair was longer when it was wet so I wiped the longer strands out of my face before wrapping a towel around my waist. I stepped up to counter and smeared the steam off of the mirror before opening the door.

“Hey, well you took your time didn’t you?” Louis was waiting outside the door and I swung my arms in a sweeping motion signaling that he could go in now.
