The Prank!

Everyone’s mouths dropped.

“You what?” Ashton asked.

“Yea, you barely know her!” Harry said in shock.

Niall froze, and then ran upstairs after Leah.

“So dramatic! No more announcements tonight! I’m going to bed!” Louis said. He walked into the hallway, and then came back. “Wait, where am I sleeping?”

Ashton tried to clear her thoughts and focused on what Louis asked. “Well, we only have one extra bedroom, so you and Harry can share that one. Niall will probably stay with Leah- She nudged her head towards the stairs- since he “loves” her.” She rolled her eyes. Then Ashton looked at Zayn and Liam. “I have an air mattress in my room, but I don’t wanna lug it down the stairs if you don’t mind.”

“It’s fine.” Liam said.

“What about Cooper?” Zayn asked.

“Oh, he can stay in the crib upstairs,” Ashton said.

“How did you get a crib so fast?” Zayn asked.

“Remember, you spent like 300 dollars on baby stuff? Well, I didn’t want to throw it away.” Ashton said.

“Oh, yeah.” Zayn said.

Louis yelled from the bedroom, “Hazza, I’m lonely in here!”

Harry got up and ran to the bedroom, “I’m coming!”

“Well, time for bed,” Liam said.

“Wait a sec; we need to put Cooper to bed. We want to do it together.” Zayn said.

Leah’s POV

‘Why would she do this to me?’ I thought to myself.

I heard a knock at the door. I tried to wipe my tears away. “Come in.”

Niall opened the door and came inside. “Hey.”

“Hey.”

“How are you doing?”

“Okay.” I lied.

“Well, I know you’re mad, but it’s going to be ok.”

I could hear Niall’s Irish accent coming through his voice. Did I believe in love at first sight? I think I do now.

I heard a knock at the door. “Niall, would you mind staying in here with Leah, and Zayn and Liam stay with me?” Ashton asked.

“That sounds fantastic!” Niall said excitedly. He tried not to smile.

Ashton glanced at me. “Would you mind?”

“No.” I tried not to look at her.

“Ok, well… goodnight to both of you.” Ashton said and shut the door.

Ashton’s POV

“Now I remember how loudly Zayn snores,” I whispered to Liam.

“I heard that!” Zayn mumbled through his pillow.

As Liam and I were watching TV, I heard a noise. “Mommy, I’m hungry!” I heard from the baby monitor. I turned off the TV.

“Why’d you do that?” Liam asked.

“Just shut up and listen!”

“Mommy, I’m hungry!” the monitor said again.

I threw a pillow at Zayn to try to get him up.

“What do you want?” Zayn asked sleepily.

“Zayn, I think we need to check on Cooper.” I said scaredly.

We all got up and went to the nursery. Zayn slowly pushed the door open. Cooper was awake but nobody was in the room with him.

“Boo!” Niall screamed from behind the door.

I jumped and saw Leah come out of the closet with a video camera.

“Guys!” I yelled. I turned red with embarrassment.

“Ha ha!” Louis laughed. I heard Liam laugh with him.

“Whatever, I’m going to bed!” I said and walked back to the bedroom. Liam and Zayn followed after me.
