Only Time Will Tell...

Expecting...

“So, you 4 are the only ones coming back?” Leah asked.

“Only for a few days…” Zayn said.

“Yea, we have to get back.” Niall said.

“Our next concert is in Germany!” Harry said, happily.

“You should give Addy free tickets!” Ashton said, yawning.

“Well, if y’all are done scaring us, I think I’ll get back to bed,” Leah said, walking back upstairs.

“Right behind you!” Niall yelled.

For the rest of the morning, Ashton worried about Liam.

Leah knocked on the door at 3 in the morning.

"I heard crying..." Leah said, walking in, still in her robe.

"I don't know where Liam is!" Ashton said, angrily.

"What is wrong with you! This is what happens when you get preggo!" Leah said.

"You've gone through mood swings, too!" Ashton said.

"I'm going through them right now!" Leah screamed.

"Hold up! Say what now?" Ashton said, calming down, "You're pregnant?"

All of a sudden, Zayn walked in.

"Sis, you're pregnant?"

"Yea, I was gonna tell you guys soon." Leah said.

"How far along?" Ashton asked.

"3 months..." Leah said.

"Does Niall know?" Zayn asked.

"I told him when we went upstairs," Leah said.

"Do you know its gender?" Ashton asked.

"Girl!" Leah said.

"Did you tell them, already?" Niall said, walking in.

“Well, I couldn’t wait forever!” Leah said, “Oh, I just remembered! I have an ultrasound later today.”

Once Niall and Leah left, Zayn stayed with Ashton for the rest of the morning.

That morning

“Are you ready?” Niall asked.

“The question is…is Sadie ready?” Leah said, talking to her belly.

“Oh, Sadie?” Ashton said, “I love it!”

“Yep, Sadie Wren!” Niall said, proudly.

“Have you told your mom and dad yet?” Zayn asked, walking out of Ashton’s room.

“We are…Wait! What were you doing in her room?” Leah asked him suspiciously.

“We…um…you know…um…I comforted her while Liam’s gone…” Zayn said, shyly.

“Yea, ok, whatever. Anyway, we are telling our parents after the ultrasound.” Niall said.

At the ultrasound

The doctor walked in with the test results. “How are you feeling?” he asked, nervously.

“I feel great! Why?” Leah asked.

“Um…I’m sorry, but there’s nothing in there…” the doctor said.

“What do you mean there’s nothing in there?” Niall yelled.

“I came here last month and there was a baby in my stomach!” Leah freaked.

“You must have had a miscarriage. Was there a time when you felt pain, but it passed?”

Leah could barely speak. “I…um…had sharp pains last week…” Leah said, starting to cry.

“I’m sorry…” the doctor said, leaving the room.

Niall just sat there. Leah was bawling. “Sadie!”

Niall rubbed her belly. “I can’t believe we lost her!” he said.
