Have you ever known

what love is?

I don't;

I have never been in love

I love everyone

I see from the day

I began to learn

But I can't be in love,

and know what it is

when I don't see

I see a mirage in my dreams

blurred and unclear

I imagine it must be hard 

for him to stand still and wait

till I catch up with him

and I am left wondering

in the mornings

if I am as unclear and blurred 

to him as he is to me

I am real and I am alive

I can't be anyone's dream; 

clear or blurred

it is a hopeless hope

and I shouldn't dare 

to hope hopeless

I trim my hair

wait under the stars

to see the moon

that will come up soon

but always fall asleep

to the blurred skies 

and don't ever see 

the moon rise
