(Again, 3rd person. Not sure if we'll ever do 1st)

Shock scurried through the undergrowth. She was beginning to panic, and her leg hurt, probably due to there being about three or four massive thorns stuck in her right thigh. She was panicking as she didn't know where Lock and Barrel were. Idiots, the tiny child thought to herself. I bet they've been caught. Shock's more loving side then took over. What if they HAVE been caught? Jack will beat them black and green for sure this time! My little brothers.... where are you? Continuing on, she came across their beloved white cat, Fang. "There you are!" Shock whispered. She scooped up the ball of fur, and went on her way. Fang was very out of place amongst the other cats in Halloween Town, being blue-eyed and white-furred. Shock still remembered how they got him.
(A/N: italics are thoughts)

100 years prior....
"Shock!" Barrel moaned, "We've already been into town five times today! Why do we have to go back?" Lock, who was carrying the five year old, gritted his teeth, and snarled under his breath, "You don't hear me moaning do you?" Shock glanced back at her cohorts. "Firstly, Barrel, get off Lock's back. He's a weakling remember, you might crush his spine." Lock growled at her. "Secondly, there's a sale for kittens in the town square. I don't know about you two, but I'm getting one." Lock threw Barrel off him, and scampered forwards to walk alongside his big sister. "Count me in!" He cried, "I've always wanted a cat!" Barrel pulled his face out of the ground, and hurried to join them. Once the trio reached the town square, they realised there was a much smaller crowd than they'd expected. A MUCH smaller crowd. As in one person. Shock groaned. "Sally," she muttered to Lock and Barrel. The two frowned, but stalked forward anyway. It turned out the so-called "kittens" as Shock described them, were almost fully grown. There were five, two jet-black ones, one with green eyes and the other with orange, two black ones with a few pumpkin coloured splotches, again with green and amber eyes, and a very peculiar cat. It was a pure, bone white, with brilliant blue eyes. Lock grimaced. "A white cat? Nobody will buy that filthy little thing." Shock nodded in agreement. Barrel stumbled forward, and sat down beside the box, where Sally was scooping out the green-eyed black cat. "Hello, Barrel." Sally smiled sweetly at him, but didn't make eye contact with the young boy. "Hi." Barrel muttered. "You're getting a cat?" He asked, a little confused. Didn't the cranky old doctor forbid cats in his lab? Shock and Lock had wandered over and also sat down. Lock picked up one of the black and orange kittens, and Shock lifted the other black feline out of the box. Sally nodded, "Yes, although I'm not allowed to bring it anywhere inside but my room. The Doctor doesn't like cat hair on his research, but he agreed I could come and get a cat, as long as it stays outside, and if I bring it inside, I bring it straight up to my room." Barrel nodded, trying to pretend he understood. Sally looked over to his siblings. "You are as well?" Shock nodded, and returned the kitten she was holding to the box. "Yeah, but we can't decide." Lock also placed his back with the others, and yawned, showing off his sharp teeth. "Mr Oogie says 'go on, get yourselves a pet as a reward for your recent spree of mayhem!' So we go and find said pet," He lashed his tail in frustration, "and all I can think about is, 'what happens to the poor sods we don't pick?'" Sally frowned, "they'll end up as alley cats I suppose. If nobody else is after one, then they'll probably look after themselves." She then smiled, and lifted up the black green-eyed kitten. "I'm taking this one. What about you three?" Lock, Shock and Barrel all looked at each other, and then at the little white cat. Lock picked it up with more care than Sally thought he was capable of, and murmured "Maybe you aren't a filthy little thing." Shock carefully stroked the cat behind his ear, and he purred, "Maybe he's our cat." She grinned, and turned to the youngest boogie boy "What do you think, Barrel?" Barred also grinned. "Fang," he announced. Lock stared at him in confusion. "Come again?" "Fang!" Barrel repeated, stroking the blue-eyed animal. "As a name." Shock nodded. "Fang's good," she stood up, and pulled Barrel to his feet. Lock stood up, still carefully holding the newly-named Fang. Sally smiled, and went on her way. "Now come on!" Lock snapped, hurrying toward the graveyard, "We can't be late back, or Mr Oogie Boogie will get real mad!" Shock and Barrel joined him, and they brought with them their new companion.

Shock had spent so much time reminiscing, she hadn't realised A) Fang had wriggled out of her arms and run off, and B) she had just walked smack into Jack Skellington. "Oh sh-" the eldest Trick-or-Treater was cut off as Jack lifted her up and tucked under the arm he had Lock captive with too, and began making his way back towards the trio's treehouse. "You look terrible," the seven year old stated simply, glaring at her brothers, whilst secretly very worried. "You're no prize yourself." Lock snapped, making Barrel snicker. Shock sighed. They're OK, she told herself.

Neko again! ^-^ i gave Sally the black cat as she is seen with it in the movie
