Chapter IX:

I once again made a run-through on my script. Tomorrow, classes will resume and so will the practice for the upcoming play. I sighed at the thought. I hope that I could still get a longer break, I am still pretty beat!

I lied down on my bed, threw the script beside me, and went to sleep. I want to at least enjoy my last night of sanctuary before waking up to a new busy day. My body was numbed from exhaustion but my mind was a hundred percent awake.

It has been a while since I started depriving people around me with my goody-two-shoes act and got a weird reaction to this little stunt of mine. Instead of them hating me, which I mostly had into consideration as a result, most of them started attempting to gain my affection and attention. Now it seems like I have attracted a larger population of the student body than I used too when I was still in my perfect-student act. In a month's time since I dropped my mask; a couple of guys started to confess their feelings to me. Not only that, there were even three confused girls who did the same before classes ended.

Another sigh came as I opened my eyes.

"I wonder if my owner is already here?" I asked in a whisper while trying to draw a face in my mind that would fit his description. "He's 27 years old and a businessman... I wonder, is he a successful one?" I paused. "He must be if he is allowing me to spend so much."

Another pause came as a wild idea came to mind.

"Could it be that he has a boyfriend whom he is leeching off?" I thought as the crazy theory that Sebastian once said of him having doubts of my owner being gay crossed my mind. "The guy could have been supporting him all this time... and the load of money he gets from him is the same money that he dumps on me!" I shook my head to stop my trail of thoughts and shivered. "Not a chance!" I scolded myself before turning to my side. I grabbed my pillow and hugged it; closing my eyes on the process.

"I still need to wake up early tomorrow to cook my breakfast and lunch." I sleepily said and went to dreamland after.

"Good morning everybody!" cracked the old wooden speakers that hanged above the doors of each room before releasing a very loud audio feedback that made all the students including the teachers cover their ears. It stopped after a couple of second and was followed by tapping sounds.

"Hello? Hello? Mic test," It was the principal trying to gain back control of the centralized sound system that is used to send off information to the whole school. Once she was sure that all was well she started her speech, "It is the start of a new semester and I'd like to take this opportunity to reminding each and everyone of you the school's rules and regulations."

The whole high school body started to whine knowing that it'll be another few hours of boringness before starting the formal classes that are equally boring.

"All kindly proceed to the auditorium for the orientation." The principal continued while the students started to become lazier that ever while slouching on their seats.

"Everybody get up and form your lines!" Sebastian called while his face depicts the same boredom that we are all feeling. I took a deep breath and heaved a sigh before launching my body off my seat to give it a head start.

Crowds and crowds of students entered the auditorium like zombies with whines and clamors on their lips. My class made it through the crowd and proceeded to our respective place where we settled down. Luckily, Micah, Mae and I are together in one row. At least we could kill the boredom one in a while.
