Chapter VIII:
The long week of examinations came and all recreations ceased. All students studied hard: sleepless nights, brain-wrecking memorizations, depression, stress, and anxiety drama where all forgotten when the bell for our last examination for the semester rang. All of those who were finished with their exams cheered and excitedly packed up while those who were having difficulties rummaging their brains for answers started to cram and sweat in nervousness.
I finished packing up and got ready to go, giving a quick glance over my friends. Micah was already set to go while Mae... well Mae is one of those students who were cramming to catch –up with the remaining time. I smiled and faced forward. Micah and I needed to wait for her to finish before we could go our way. That is what friends are for, right? I smiled. With a happy curve painted on my lips; I saw something from my peripheral view. I turned to see what it was, or rather who it was.
The smile was still on my lips when I raised my right hand to acknowledge Drake who was standing outside of my classroom. He did likewise with his left hand as his right was busy holding his bag. He and I became an icon after the flashy show he pulled a week ago. I cannot blame the people around us if they think of our relationship as something special. After all he would come over everyday to fetch me without fail. To be honest, I kind of feel sorry for him because of his persistence while I would always avoid him and look for excuses for his invites to go out. But I think he doesn't really mind since he keeps on coming over to my classroom every after class. All of his efforts actually bothered me at first but I kind of got used to it as time passed by. I guess I am just fast in adapting to any circumstances around me and if there is one thing that I should be bothered with then it would be the fact that I've never received any information about my owner since rehearsals stopped.
"Hey! What's with that lone face? Exams have just ended and we are free starting tomorrow until the next two weeks!" Micah said while placing her arm around my shoulders.
"And the Mega Casino is opening next week!" Mae added hugging us both.
"We could totally go!" they chorused.
A soft cough from our backs made us turn towards the teacher's table.
"I could not help overhearing your conversation." Sebastian started. "If I may interrupt, you need to be visiting the seamstress as early as now if you don't want your dress to be delayed." He said addressing to me.
"Oh! I totally forgot." I smiled awkwardly. Things were just too busy the past couple of weeks that it slipped my mind.
"And that goes for you, too." He continued addressing Micah. We looked at each other a bit confused. Sebastian gave a low giggle. "Don't look so confused." He started. "I know that the three of you share almost everything..." he paused and placed his right index finger under his chin. "I wonder if that includes: toothbrushes, underwear, and lovers?"
We blushed at his statement.
"Stop it you perverted teacher!" I scolded.
Both of my friends were shocked and speechless at the true Sebastian.
He giggled. "Such cute expressions," he stood up from where he was seated. "Since you two are already aware of Kate's past and also my nephew's information, I guess it won't hurt if I tell Kate that he is coming over to watch the play, while you two are around."
His words echoed in my head like an endless pit. "He's coming over... he's coming over..."
"He already knows that both you and Micah are playing parts in the play. That is the reason why he asked for a dress sewn for her also."
