"I still don't understand why I have to sit by you. Why can't I trade tickets with somebody?"Jay complained, slamming the carry on drawer shut, letting out a small laugh.
"Oh,whatever, you love sitting by me." I wink, sitting down in the seat and looking out the airplane window, viewing the blue skies, soon enough I'll be in them.
"I should at least get to sit by the window."Jay takes a seat next to me and starts to take out his phone."Here, take a picture of us." Jay places it in my hand.
We both smile. Jay puts his arm around me and a warm sense goes through my body. I hear the flash of the camera fill the air.
We break our embrace as Jay says, "I love it." He saves it then adds airplane buddy, and posts it to snapchat."Did you know how cute your smile is?" He gives me a hug and I feel a sensation.
"Awe,well isn't it the love birds."Jacob mocks, taking his seat next to Jay and I."You know, I love how the event gave us first class seats." He crosses his arms behind his neck, and relaxes his body.
I roll my eyes."Who's the other seat for?"I gesture towards the empty chair.
"Isaac. He is still going through security." Jacob laughs.
Isaac sluggishly appears, dropping himself into the once empty seat.
"Well it's about time you join us, buddy."Jay laughs.
"Security is a pain. You would think they would have metal detectors that won't detect the metal in your body. But nope, they had to feel it to let me go through." Isaac sighs.
"Who would have thought we would all be seventeen, not to mention almost eighteen, and be going to the Junior Olympics?" Olivia is looking at us from across the aisle.
"I can't believe they let you get on the plane Jacob."Isabella laughs.
"All three of you go back to your books." Isaac puts his earbuds in and looks at the menu.

"Hello. I am Marisa, your flight attendant. Is there anything I can get you? I see that the event is going to be paying for everything on the plane."She gives us a small smile, her blonde curls bouncing as she talks."May I please have the grilled cheese with a iced tea, sweetened." Jay looks up and smiles.
"I'll take a caesar salad with a water." I close the menu.
"I would like a small pepperoni pizza with a Sprite please."Isaac puts his earbuds back in.
"I'll just have a iced coffee dark roast with a shot of expresso and liquid sugar please."Jacob goes back to sleeping.
"Soph, you are so boring. Salad and water?" Jay playfully rolls his eyes.
"Come on, you know I want to have a good bikini body for the beach this week."My lips form a small smile.
Jay looks me up and down."You? You have a perfect body." He whispers into my ear as my mind allows my thoughts to drift.
***
"So, what is the room situation for the week?" Isaac looks at all of us."I'll be rooming with Olivia."I shift my eyes over to Jay, who is still eating his grilled cheese.
I pull out my phone and go to my camera."Hey guys. Smile!"
All four of us smile and laugh."We all look hot."Jacob forms a smolder.
"Well I'll room with Ja.."Isaac starts to say, but is interrupted by the sound of the intercom.
"Everyone please get up and grab your parachute, as we have lost one of our motors, please put them on as we are trying to.." The plane dips. The words cut like a knife. What is going to happen?
I panic as I search for a parachute."Did one of you happen to see another parachute or life vest?" I could barely get the words out. I could barely breathe...
"Soph..take mine."Jay offers me his, he softens his eyes.
I put my hand on his chest, "Leave it on. I'll find one." I manage to say before we all start going over by the emergency exit.
The flight attendant opens the exit and motions us to step back."Two of you at a time. We are only five minutes away from the destination, so we are going to hold off for as long as possible... to jump."
Jay starts to grab my hand, but before he can, the plane dips and I fall out of the emergency exit, leaving everything behind me.
