"Sophia?" I raise my head to see her parents walk into the room, with yet again, another takeout bag.

"Shawn, Brittany. Sorry I didn't call you last night, it all-" I start to apologize before Shawn raises his hand, signaling me too stop talking.

"Jay, it's okay. It was at eleven anyways, we wouldn't have heard the phone anyways." He kindly smiles, pointing to Sophia. "How is she?" His voice just above a whisper, not wanting to wake Sophia.

"She... I won't lie, she is traumatized. But when we were talking, she said she doesn't remember the rape, only the beginning when he.. he started to unbutton.... I think you know what I mean." I sigh, not being able to say the words myself.

"It's okay, Jay. How long have you both been out for?" Shawn motions to me and Sophia, who is still wrapped in my arms and has her head on my chest.

I smile nervously. "She fell asleep around one thirty this morning. I was up until two, making sure she was actually asleep. The first time this happened she would pretend to fall asleep and when I would fall asleep she would cry to herself, so I'm trying to avoid that"

"Good. Dr. Manning filled us in on everything, so we know her side effects, we know about the first abduction, her life with you, we are all on the same page now." Brittany spoke up. "We brought you both sweet tea. We know how Sophia doesn't like you drinking coffee, so we brought that and yogurt for breakfast, even though it is almost lunch. We still need to speak to Dr. Rhodes about her diet, side effects, and everything."

"We did speak to your parents as well." Shawn clears his throat. "They're working on a case in Memphis, but they said to watch you while we are out here. You aunt is watching your other siblings."

"Thank you. I meant to call her, but, Soph woke up and she needed me." I look up at the two lawyers, both dressed in casual clothing, which was not usual for them, as they always were polos around the house, or work clothes. "Do you want me to wake her up? I can." I look down at Sophia, her face beautiful, even though she has three purple bruises and a faint black eye on her face, she was still breathtakingly beautiful.

"Would you? It could give you a chance to eat while we talk to her." Her moms face lights up, the hopes of hearing her daughter's voice after days of worry.

I nod happily, ready to eat. "Soph? Sophia, baby?" I shake her shoulder as she begins to stir in her sleep.

"Jay?" She snuggles closer to me, slinging her IV free arm over my chest along with her head, and her voice groggy from the tube and sleep, but worried.

"I'm right here, Soph." I caress her shoulder that is draped over my arm and glance to her parents, who remain silent as tears well in their eyes.

"Thank you for staying with me. I actually felt safe last night since you slept next to me."She smiles, and I kiss her on her forehead. "Can I have my water?" She barely gets the words out, her throat so dry to the point she almost gags.

I reach over to the bedside table and hold her water for her as she slowly sips from the red straw. "Thank you, Jay."She sighs as she lays her head back down on my chest, facing the window that views the majority of Honolulu.

"Soph, I'm going to eat breakfast while you talk to your parents." I smile, sitting up, taking her with me.

Her face lights up. "My parents.. they.. they're here?" She exclaims while smiling. Disbelief and happiness fills the room.

"Yeah, they came to see you. Look right over there." I point to her parents who are happily sitting on the couch next to each other.

I help Sophia get propped up on the pillows as I slide off the bed and going over to the small table and taking out the yogurt and bagel they had kindly bought for me, along with a sweet tea from McDonalds.
