"Kay! It's not what it looks like!" Jess protested.

"It looks like you were making out with my brother!" yelled Kay, furiously. "and you! What did I tell you about my friends?" Finn just looked down. Jess just wished that he would stand up against Kay, but since that clearly wasn't going to happen she was going to have to be the one to stand up.

"It's not his fault!" Jess shouted. Jess takes one last look at Finn then storms out of the house.

The next day at school Jess avoided Kay and Finn as much as possible. She needed some time to think. When Jess wasn't paying attention she banged into Kenzie and they both dropped there books everywhere.

"I'm so sorry!" Kenzie apologized.

"It's my fault too." Jess admitted. As Jess was picking up her books she noticed that her and Kenzie took almost all the same classes. "You take the same classes as me?" she asked.

"Yea, almost every class, actually." Kenzie corrected. That made Jess smile. Kenzie had a brightness about her. Something, nice.

After that, they became instant friends. Jess told Kenzie all about Finn and Kenzie came up with a plan to get him back. But was that plan good enough?
