Another New Student?

As if Haizelle wasn't bad enough, another new person was about to enter the school, and she wasn't much better.

There was a soft knock at the door. The teacher, obviously annoyed, walked over to the door with a sigh. When he opened it, the principal was stood there, with a girl who looked to be about the age of the rest of the class.

"I have a new student for you, and make sure you take good care of her, she's my granddaughter." He said with a chuckle. The teacher smiled as she walked in. He stood in the doorway talking to the principal for a minute and then turned his attention to the girl awkwardly standing in front of the class.

"Class, this is Melissa. She will be joining us this year." He said in a very upbeat voice, very unlike himself. The oblivious principal just smiled at them.

"Hi Melissa." the class said dully, as they had done it plenty of times before.

When she sat down Jess walked up to her and smiled.

"Hi, I'm Jess." She said again, hopefully with a better result.

"I'm Melissa. Nice to meet you." She said happily.

This day was just full of surprises.
