Chapter 7 | Volleyball Match

"So Fawn, what class do you have next?" I asked, I was hoping to have the same class as her.

"Physics." She said.

"Werewolves learn physics?" I was curious and why they would need it.

"Yeah, I guess we need as much knowlage as humans." She said.

"Well, I actually have lunch now." I said, I was a little confused.

"Cool, you have first lunch! See you later then." She said and ran off.

I walked to the cafetaria and looked around for Lydia, Mollie, and Ashley.
Instead of finding them, I found The Alpha.
"Hey, freshman! You ready for that volleyball game?" She asked.

"Hi Blair, actually it's after school." I said and gave her a straight face.

"Oh. Well, I WANT TO HAVE IT NOW!!" She yelled at me. I felt mad, disrespected.

"JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE ALPHA DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THEY'RE BELOW YOU!" I screamed. Almost everyone was looking at me. I went red, I was embarrassed. I've never had this many attention.

It was all silent for a minute or two. Until..
"Actually, I can. Because that's what Alpha's do. They tell other werewolfs what to do.
And if I'm not strict with them, I wouldn't be Alpha." She gave me a 'I win' face.

I stayed silent, "You don't deserve to challenge me. NOONE DOES!" Then she walked away.

"Wait." I calmly stood my head up.

"You want the challenge now? You GET to loose your tittle sooner." I smiled with full of determination.

"Game on." She smiled with the same amount of determination.

The field was empty. It was only field with me, Blair, and our volleyball teams. And well, everyone that was watching in the seats.
Okay, I guess it was pretty crowded.

Soon, a voice appeared from the speakers, "Alright everyone, I will be your referee for the day and it's our first 'Alpha challenging event' of the year. And surprisingly a freshman is competing."

I took a deep breath, I looked behind me to see Mollie, Ashley, and some other freshmen who I didn't know their names. They were my team. And I gave them a determined smile. They gave me the same smile back.

"LET THE MATCH BEGINS!!" Yelled the referee.

And that was my call. The other team were amazing, I even had a little doubt. But I shook it of and just play.

The other team had some sort of method to win, but we had our own.
We were tied, 6-6 and my team only needed one more win. Although it was same for the other team.

Then, the ball was in the air. My teammates jump trying to hit the ball but they missed, at the right moment I jumped and hit the ball to the ground and gave my team one last win.

"Congratulations to VERONICA'S TEAM!! For winning today's volleyball match!!
And also congratulations to VERONICA FOR BECOMING THE NEW SCHOOL ALPHA!!"

The whole school cheared for me and my team, I felt so happy. They say, I was the first freshman that became Alpha in a long time.

"You did it Veronica!!" I heard my friends yelled.

I smiled, "WE did it."

I looked around, people were congratulating me. It was weird, because I'm not used to the attention.

Lastly a werewolf guy approached me, "Hey, Veronica Congrats!" He said.

"T-thanks.." I stuttered, I NEVER stuttered before. The boy has blond hair and grey eyes, he also has dark grey ears and tail.

"My name's Brock, and I was wondering if you'd like to host an Alpha party?" He scratched the back of his head.
(No, not Brock from Pokémon)

"P-party??" I stuttered again, ugh why do I keep doing that?? Maybe because he's huge compared to me.

"Yeah, I mean you don't have to host it. I could host it if it's too much for you. I just need your permission." He said.

"O-ohh.. you don't have to ask. I'd l-love to go to an Alpha party. I've never been to one."
I smiled.

"Awesome! What about tomorrow night? At my place ofcores, I'm sure my parents don't mind."

"Okay, I-I'm.. looking forward to it." I smiled and ran, why did I run?? Why would I fear a normal werewolf boy?

I just realised something. IT WAS STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF SCHOOL!! I ran as fast as I could, so I wouldn't be late to class.
