Chapter 1 | Change

~Pilot~
There was once a girl named Veronica. She isn't a normal girl, she was a half-blooded werewolf.
Her mother was a human and she married a werewolf man. And that was how Veronica was born.
When Veronica was 6 y.o. her dad got in a car accident.
Her mother didn't know what to do with Veronica so she decided to send her to a normal human school.

~10 years later~

~Veronica's POV~
It was a beautiful sunny day, I woke up in the morning and heard my mother spoke.

"Veronica, I have something important to tell you!" She yelled.

"Be right down!" I replied.

I didn't know what she meant by important, so I just assumed she got a promotion or something.

I went downstairs to see what was going on, then I saw her cooking pancakes.

"It doesn't have anything to do with school right?" Mom never makes pancakes, unless it's a special occasion.. or some bad news.
Then my mother told me to sit down.

"Do you remember what I said about werewolf school?" She told me with a motherly smile.

I didn't say anything, mostly because I thought she was joking.

"I found a werewolf school for you, Its called Northern Werewolf Academy. You can start next week!"

I didn't say a word, I don't know what to think of it.

"Mom, it's not April fools today. It's still a long time." I still thought she was joking.

But then she clearly looked at me and then I realized she wasn't joking.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS??!!" I was shocked, mom never mentioned werewolf after my father's accident.

"I don't know anything about werewolf, my dad died when I was six!"

"I know, but this is your chance to learn more about your species. I'm sure there are some half-blooded werewolfs there." She tried convincing me.

I thought for a second, "Okay fine, but I know that I won't like it."

My mom smiled, then I went back to my room.

That afternoon, I decided to Skype my friends from my human school and tell them about my new school.

"We're gonna miss you Veronica! We hope the best for you!" Said one of my friends.

I smiled, then I thought that this will be a great experience.

Today is my first day of Northern Werewolf Academy. I was afraid, but exited at the same time! I said goodbye to mom and then went to school.

"I don't know anything about werewolfs, but all the people here almost master it! I hope I can catch up with my studies."

I realized that I was speaking to myself out loud, I was a little embarrassed.

Then a werewolf girl with purple ears and tail and brown hair stared at me,
I was a little worried and looked away.

But then she smiled and came closer to me,

"Hi! You must be new here."

"Y-yes, in fact I've never learnt anything about werewolfs." I was very confused on what's going on.

"Aww really? You must be really lonely! Don't worry, Lydia is here!" She said with a friendly voice.

"Umm.. Hi Lydia, my name is Veronica." I said very nervously.

"What a nice name Veronica! We're gonna be the bestest of friends!!" She replied with a sweet smile.

After that, I saw that some werewolfs are actually very nice and friendly. And I thought this wouldn't be too bad of a change.
