"E-Ethan!" I exclaim, swimming to the surface. "I-I can't swim!" I choke out.

Instantly I feel his hands on my waist and he pulls me into him before swimming down to the shallower side of the pool. "Kristen I'm so sorry, I didn't-"

I can't contain my laughter any longer, the look on his face was priceless. "Why are you laughing?" He questions innocently.

"I got you so good." I laugh hysterically.

"What?" He questions.

"I can swim you moron." I chuckle, finally calming myself down a little.

"You're going to need to know how to swim." Ethan mutters before pushing me under the water but almost instantly pulling me back up again.

"Your hair looks pretty funny." I smirk.

"So do your panda eyes." Ethan smirks back. I feel my eyes widen as I completely forgot I put make up on this morning. Ethan pulls his wet thumb up to my face and wipes off the mascara from under my eyes as I stare into his. My heart rate picks up as I feel his hand lower down my back.

"Yo E, which pizza do you want?" Grayson asks. Realising how close Ethan and I were, under the water I had my legs wrapped around Ethan's waist, his free hand was around me, I climb off him and step on to my own two feet.

"Pepperoni." Ethan replies. "Sorry, I kind of kidnapped your messenger."

"I'll be out in a bit." Grayson replies, seeming a bit snappier than before.

"Well thank you for ruining my only pair of clothes for now." I say, crossing my arms.

"Lose the pout princess, you can borrow one of my shirts." Ethan says.

"Cannonball!" I hear Grayson exclaims before a tsunami hits me.

We all dry off in the sun for a while, I knew my jeans wouldn't dry at all so I took them off and hung them on the back of my chair and lay on the sun lounger without them but thankfully my top was fairly long.

"Pizza!" Ethan exclaims, getting up as soon as the doorbell rings.

"Grayson, do you think I could borrow a shirt? I don't really want to walk around pant-less. This top covers when I'm lay down but walking around I doubt it."

"Sure." Quickly, he gets up and sprints back to the house, shortly returning with a t-shirt before running back inside so I can change.

"So Kristen what brings you to this town?" Grayson asks before taking a bite out of his pizza.

"I just wanted a fresh start in a new town." I reply.

"What about your brother and your family back home?" He asks.

"Well that's part of the reason I came here." I sigh, taking a bit.

"Care to elaborate?" Ethan asks.

"E." Grayson snaps, understanding what I'm saying.

"It's okay." I tell him. "A month or so ago my parents died, everyone in the town knew me as the pitiful girl who lost her parents, I was sick of people asking me if I was doing okay and all the sympathy people kept giving me."

"I'm sorry." Ethan says.

"Me too. But what about your brother?" Grayson asks.

"He's going to university soon, and no one really said much to him. I was just the youngest so people expected me not to be okay but I was better than people thought." I explain.

"This conversation just got depressing." Ethan says.

"Ethan." Grayson groans again.

"He's right, lets talk about something else. Tell me about your family."
