Arriving at school I get out of the car and walk towards Tessa who is signalling me. "You could of just come over." I chuckle.
"They're looking for you." She tells me.
"Who?"
"The cheerleaders. Mainly Ashley and Chantel." Tessa answers.
"So?"
"I thought I'd give you a heads up." She retorts.
"I can handle them, it's you I'm worried about. The things they say to you are so mean, don't listen to them, you know they're wrong, don't you?"
"I've given up to listening to what they had to say about me years ago." Tessa replies.
"Good. Let's go to class."
We walk together, "So what made you be so kind to me?" She asks. "I'm just the nerdy girl."
"And I was just the new girl." I smile. "You are pretty much the only welcoming girl who, all the others looked at me like I was an alien or a murderer."
"They were threatened. You're stunning and you came in here with a Dolan twin on each arm."
"A Dolan twin on each arm?" I question.
"Everyone knows that the Dolan boys are hard to get. They want looks and personality and most girls here only have one of them, let's just say they're picky. Every girl desires them but only you got them." She explains.
"I didn't get them as such, they were just friends but then Grayson turned into more than that..."
"I know." Tessa says. "But it was clear from the beginning and even now that both boys have eyes for you and you only."
We approach my locker. I see an old picture of me and my parents from about two years ago. I can do nothing but stare. "Are you okay?" Tessa asks.
"I'm fine. I just remembered I have to do something, meet you at class." I say.
"Um okay, as long as you're sure."
"I'm sure."
Tessa takes three steps before turning back to me. "Was it something I said? Because sometimes I get a little carried away and speak more than I should-"
"No Tessa it wasn't you, I love that you feel that you can be honest with me." I smile, reassuring her.
I hear her footsteps continue down the hall and suddenly the bell rings. Everyone clears off to class but I remain in my spot, unable to move. A few minutes later the second bell rings, startling me and giving me enough determination to move. I snatch the picture from my locker door, scrumping it in my hand. "Those cheerleaders are dead." I mumble before turning around and crashing straight into one of the twins.
"What are you doing out of class little miss goody two shoes." He smirks, I recognise him as Ethan.
"None of your business." I reply.
"Ooh sharp tone, something really is going on." He chuckles.
"No it isn't, now get out of my way." I order.
"Not until you tell me what's got you so fired up. I mean it's sexy but-"
"Not in the mood." I warn.
"Okay, okay." Ethan says, holding his hands up in defeat.
"Thank you." I head down the corridor, looking for the class Ashley is in.
"So you're just going to leave me on a cliffhanger?" He scoffs.
"Just go to class Ethan."
