*Alan POV* | Feb 16, 2014

I slowly open my eyes, again to be greeted by the bright hospital lights, but they're not there. I sit myself up on my elbows and look around at my surroundings. Why the hell do I keep moving in my unconsciousness?

"Alan, you're awake," Austin says, poking my shoulder. I nod, and try to stand up from the bed I was previously laying on, but I end up falling to my knees in spite of major dizziness.

"I don't think you should be walking much today, Princess," Austin chuckles. My stomach begins to grumble.

"I'm hungry," I whine. "Feed me!"

"Alan, stop being a cat," Austin says, dragging me to what I'm assuming is his kitchen.

"I am a cat, though. Meow!" I say, meowing and poking his arm as he begins to make pancakes and bacon.

"Cats don't eat bacon," he says.

"I do, therefore cats do because I'm the cat overlord and all cats love me," I say, laughing.

"Does Sophie love you?" Austin asks.

"Of course my little kitty does. Speaking of Sophie, if we're at your house, where is she?"

"She was sleeping on your head until you were stirring around. Then she left and she's- Oh there she is!" Austin exclaims as Sophie begins to claw at my leg.

"C'mere, Sophie! Come to Daddy, yes you're a good kitty. Who's a good kitty cat? Sophie is!" I coo to my black kitten.

"Alan, she's not a dog. Sophie's a cat. Get it right, Ginger Princess," Austin jokes. I stick my tongue out at him and pet Sophie.

"Either way, she still loves her daddy," I reply.

"Who couldn't love you?" he asks, chuckling. "Hey, do you mind if we go out to eat instead? These pancakes are expired."

"No problem, man! Just want my pancakes and bacon. More specifically bacon," I answer, putting Sophie down.

"Lets get ready, then. Meet me at the door in five?" he asks. I nod, and head to the hallway and pause. Where's my shit?

"Hey, Aust?" I say.

"Yeah, Princess?"

"Where is my shit?" I ask, chuckling.

"Guest bedroom, aka now your new bedroom," he replies, laughing also.

"'Kay thanks!" I say in a girly voice, and skip, yeah skip, down the hall to my room. I decide to put on my Pink Floyd tank and a pair of black skinny jeans with holes in the knees. I don't have a single pair of pants without a hole in the knee. Strange, I know, but don't judge. My knees need to breathe. I quickly straighten my hair using the guest bathroom and head to the front door and wait.

"Austin, hurry the fuck up, I'm hungry!" I pester. I get quite annoying when I'm hungry.

"I'm almost done, let me finish buttoning my pants," he says.

I purse my lips. "Need some help?" I ask, chuckling.

"Funny, but no. I got it. Let's go get the kitty some food," he says, walking out of his room towards me.

"Thank you, Aust," I say. He gives me a questioning look. "For everything," I explain. He nods, and we head out to Quinnfish Diner.

*TIME SKIP BC*

We arrive to Quinnfish Diner.

"How many?" the hostess asks.

"Table for two," Austin replies.

"Name?"

"Carlile."

"Wait is about ten minutes," she says, and we go sit down outside as we wait.

"Isn't this place expensive?" I ask. He nods.

"Hey, Carlile, you okay?" I ask. He's almost always talkative and when he isn't, he's sleeping or there's something wrong.

"I'm fine," he says. I shake my head.

"No you're not. Please don't lie to me," I say. "Tell me what's wrong."

"Gielle," he replies. I tilt my head in confusion. "The hostess." He's right, now that I think of it. She had long blonde hair, and designer glasses. The same face, the same eyes. How did I not notice this?

"Don't worry about her, Austin. She cheated like Maddie did. She's not worth your troubles. You can always talk to me if you want to, alright? Don't let her put you down," I say, hugging him. He nods and hugs back.

"Carlile, table for two! Your table is ready!" Gielle yells.

"Lets go eat, okay?" I say, giving Austin a reassuring smile. He nods and we follow Gielle to our table.

"Have a nice day," she spits at us and walks away. That's when I realise Austin and I have been holding hands the past three minutes. Not that I mind, of course....

"Errmm, Alan?" he says. "Can you let go of my hand?" I nod, and detach myself from him, looking away.

"Hello! I'm Maddie and I'll be yo- Oh, Alan, it's you. What the hell do you two want?" Maddie hisses. I look up and instantly look down at the table again. "Well hurry up, I ain't have all day," she says. Why the hell is this happening to us? Can't I have a normal day without Gielle or Maddie? Can't I have a normal day with Austin? Can't I have anything I want?!

My mind begins to drive me to insanities, and I bash my head on the table.

"Oh, Alan, stop being the scaredy cat you always were," Maddie teases. I decide I can't take it anymore, and I get up and walk away. Austin isn't even say anything! He's always been there to pick me up and when I'm done, and I've been the same to him.... Where is he now?

"Alan!" Oh there he is.

"Alan, please talk to me." Wait, how long have I been here?

"Alan, shhh, please stop crying." I shake my head.

"Alan, stop it!" he yells. I look at him in spite of fear, and move myself away.

"You can't keep yourself like this!" he yells again. I move father away.

"Y-you're scaring m-me," I whisper, falling backward. His expression changes from anger to realisation to sadness.

"I... Alan, I'm sorry," he says. I shake my head, getting up.

"No!" I yell. He can't just... he can't just be ignorant toward me, yell at me, then feel pity! That isn't how it works! He... just... Ugh! He can't do that!

"Just no!" I yell again, turning around, running away. I don't know where I'll go, I just want to be anywhere but here.
