Chapter Five

Sam's POV

Freddie and I were just lying on the couch, watching Toilet Wars. You can never get enough of that show! It's been about fifteen minutes since Jade got Cat, and we were finally alone.

I turned around in my position and kissed him. He of course, kissed back.

"What was that for?" He asks me, once we pull away.

"Just 'cause." I reply. I go back to watching my show, when there's a knock at the door.

"Seriously?!" I groan. Cant we just be alone together in peace? "It's open!" I yell, too lazy to get up.

And then, in walks Dice.

"Hey, Sam! Guess what I bought from a frie- Who's your friend?" He asks. This kid can be really annoying at times. I get up, walk over to Dice, and start to push him out the door.

"Freddie. Now get out!" I say, ignoring his protests. Finally, Dice is out of the apartment, so I close the door and go back over to the couch. I wrap my arms around Freddie, and lay my head on his chest. This is actually a cozy position. But, of course, I would never tell Freddie that.

Freddie wraps his left arm around my shoulder, and I close my eyes, suddenly feeling a bit drowsy. And then, just like that, I'm asleep.

When I wake up, there are three faces looming over me, plus Fredweird. I recognize the faces as Cat, Jade, and Dice. How did Dice get back into the apartment?

I turn my head slightly to see that Freddie fell asleep shortly after I did. He's actually kind-of cute when he's sleeping. I look up to address the faces in front of me.

"Move your face, or you lose your face," I warn them bitterly, before leaning my head back onto Freddie. Then, I hear a camera going off. I open my eyes and see that it was Jade who took the photo.

"Give me the camera, Jade." I say.

"No. I said you owed me, and this is the money! Thank you all, and good night." She replies before walking out the door with a slam. I think about attacking her, but then I remember that Freddie is asleep underneath of me, so I think twice. I shift my body so that I can shake Freddie awake. But, before I do, I say,

"Dice, get out."

"But- Oh, fine." Then, he walks out the door. I start to shake Freddie awake, and after a couple of seconds, he opens his eyes.

"Oh, hey Sam." He says, leaning over and pecking me on the lips.

"Hey, Freddork." I say against his lips. Once I pull away, I feel a ghost of a smile forming on my lips. Freddie didn't notice though.

"Hey, Cat." Freddie said, finally acknowledging the red head in the room.

"Heeeeeeyyyyyy!" Cat replies, waving her hand at him. I stand by my idea of getting her tested. She has GOT to have some kind of mental disease. Either that, or she was born this way...But, oh well.

"Hey, Freddie, do you want to hang out in my room for a little bit?" I don't wait for his answer. "Okay, come on!" I exclaim, grabbing his arm and hoisting him up from the couch. On the way to my room, I grab some raw hamburger meat from the freezer. I bite into it on the way and groan in delight. Delicious!

We run into mine and Cat's room, and jump onto my bed. We talk for what seems like hours, but is only about half an hour. Suddenly, I feel a bit nauseated.

"Sam, are you okay? You look a little green...Oh, Sam, I've been telling you not to eat raw meat! You know what that could do to your body!" Freddie exclaims. Then, my stomach churns, and I dash to the bathroom as fast as I can. I throw up into the toilet bowl, just as I hear Freddie come into the bathroom and start rubbing my back, and putting my hair up into a messy bun.

"Get out Freddie!" I cry, not wanting him to see me like this.

"Not going to happen, Sam." He replies stubbornly, ignoring my protests. I guess I can't blame him. I would stay with him if he was like this.

I throw up for about ten minutes. My stomach is really hurting. I actually feel worse than that time that Carly's ex best friend gave me expired Persian chocolate. I feel like I'm dying, and I'm still dry heaving, even if I've finished throwing up. My stomach did not agree with that raw meat.

"Sam, come on, why don't we get you back to bed. I'll grab you a bucket." Freddie says, grabbing me a bucket and helping me back to bed. Once I'm under the covers, he asks, "Do you want any crackers? I'm going to get you some water to keep you hydrated."

I nod my head yes, then Freddie leaves the room. Even if I just threw up, I'm starving. I lost all of the meat that I ate! But, in hind sight, maybe I should've cooked it first.
