"Abott, Potter, will you pay attention?!" Minervas voice cut like a whip.

I opened my eyes to find Minerva glaring down at me. "Sorry Professor."

"As I was saying, the Yule Ball is a tradition of the Tri-Wizard Tournament from centeries. You will be representing your school with the exception of Miss Abott. I-" the bell rang as we gathered up our things.

"Come on Harry, we should get a move on ask someone before all the good ones are taken." Ron said quickly.

"Potter a word?" Minerva asked. Ron, Hermione and I left for a walk on the grounds.

"Abott?" A cold voice called out. I turned to find Malfoy strutting to me.

"Yes, what do you want?" I asked.

Malfoy lead me away. "Will you go to the ball with me?"

I stared at him and smiled, "I'd love to."

Now it was Malfoys turn to smile. I skipped back over to Ron and Hermione.

"What did that git want?" Ron growled.

"Huh? What's going on?" I asked confused.

"Don't you know that Malfoy treats us like dirt under his shoe?" Ron glowered.

"No, I've been busy helping Fleur get through this Tournament." I snapped. "He just wanted to know what color robes he would look best in."

"Sounds like him." Ron scoffed.

Harry joined us. "Sorry, McGonagall wants me to find a date to open the  ball  with."

"Brilliant, now all you've got to do is ask someone." Ron replied.

Harry turned to me, "Lily, Will you go to the ball with me?"

I was speachless. If Harry wasn't my twin, I'd be swooning. I gave him an apologetic smile, "someone's already asked me. You're a great friend Harry, but it's best we stay that way." I gave him a quick hug then dashed off.

"What's up with her?" I heard Ron mumble to Hermione. I ran down to the dungeons and knocked on the door.

"Whoever it is i- Lily!" Sev stopped trying to close the door. He motioned for me to come in. "What's wrong?"

"Huh?" I asked distractedly picking at my hair.

"The fires been ignited, what happened?" Sev asked.

"My twin asked me to the ball." I spat.

"Oh, what did you say?" Sev asked curiously.

"That we'd be better as friends. Besides someone already asked me." I replied.

"Who?" Sev asked.

"A certain blonde pompous prat." I grinned

"Malfoy?!" Sev asked surprised.

"Why are you so surprised?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"I just thought he'd ask his friend Pansy Parkinson." Sev replied clearing his throat.

"That pug he's always with? She's not a friend, she seems like a lapdog!" I snorted.

"Potter might not take no for an answer. Besides, how do you think he'll react when you tell him your going to the ball with the boy he hates?" Sev asked.

"Hm...I don't know. Can't I tell him now who I am? Please?!" I begged.

"No, you can't! He must be on his own to defeat the Dark Lord." Sev snapped.
