Chapter 20: The Truth

Harry looked relieved that I was ok. "Lily, Cedrics dead"

I shook my head, "He's alive, I stunned him so he'd appeared dead."

"You were with me?" Harry asked faintly. I nodded.

Albus took the keys from the imposters belt, then turned to Sev and Minerva. "Severus, please fetch the strongest Truth Potion you posses, then go down to the kitchen and bring up a house-elf named Winky. Minerva, please go down to Hagrids house, where you will find a large black dog sitting in the pumpkin patch. Take the dog up to my office, tell him I will be with him shortly, then come back here."

As soon as the pair was gone, Albus turned to the huge trunk in the room. With a single wave of his wand, he opened the trunk reveal about twelve different compartments. He looked down into the depths to find the real Mad-Eye Moody.

"Polyjuice Potion, see the brilliance? For Moody is known only by drinking from his hip flask. In the excitement our imposter must have forgotten to take it every hour on the hour. See where the hair is shorter? The imposters had been cutting the hair off all year." Albus explained.

I kind of expected it. I knew Karkaoff was a coward, so he couldn't have put my brothers name in the cup. The new teacher was my suspect all year. After I read up on Moodys behavior, it didn't add up.

Sev came back in administering the truth pition. The imposter was really Barty Crouch Jr. The man convicted to torturing Nevilles parents, he received a life sentance.

For the next hour, he explained that his mother saved him from Askaban and that he was always contolled. He was the servant, not Sirius Black. He then went on how he cast the Dark Mark last summer at the World Cup, and how he made my twin win the tournament.

When he was done, Albus left with me and Harry at his side. "Harry, come with me up to my office, Sirius is there."

Harry nodded, I agreed to join. Even though I'm not as shocked as Harry, I'm still surprised.

"Harry, what hapoened?! Albus, who's this?" Sirius asked turning to me.

"Go ahead Lily, he can know. It's not like he can tell anyone anyway." Albus answered.

Within seconds my hair turned to red, I looked like Mum with Dads eyes. "Could it be?...Sarah?!" Sirius gasped.

"Yes, it's me." I replied as Sirius came and hugged me tight. "Where the bloody hell have you been? You were reported dead with your parents?!"

"Dad saved me, he sent me off to my godfather." I replied.

"I thought I was your godfather." Sirius said confused.

"Mum chose her eldest friend as a way of saying she forgave him." I answered.

Just then Fudge arrived. "Dumbledore! I heard from Minerva that Crouch Jr. has been acting for You-Know-Who. Ah Sirius Black, I wanted to hand this to you in person." He handed over an official document.

"Is this what I think it is?!" Sirius asked grinning.

"Yea, it's a pardon. I heard from an anonymous tip that Pettigrew is still alive, disgused as a common garden rat. Enjoy Harry, he be looking forward to leaving." Fudge turned to leave.

"Thanks Minister." Harry grinned.

"However, just because I was wrong about Sirius doesn't mean I'm wrong about Voldemort being back. Dumbledore, I'll be back in two days time. We need to talk about how to run this school."

Harry looked like Christmas came early. "Is it true, I can finally live with you?!"

Albus cleared his throat. "You can stay with Sirius...after you stay at your aunts for two weeks. It's for your protection after all."

Harry scowled. "Must i? Petunia hates me!"

Sirius glared at Albus, "He's not going back! Legally I'm in charge of him... he's staying with me. His aunt won't fight to have him anyway." Sirius stated.

"Fine, take him. Take him to your house in London." Albus answered.

After all the happy news came the sad news. What happened after my twin touched the cup.

Harry cried a few times, I did too. When he was finished Albus demanded that the two of us get a Dreamless Sleep Potion.

"Lily, extinguish the fire please." Albus said opening his door. I returned to my disguised look.

When we came to the hospital wing, a huge group of red heads were going at the nurse.

"Molly, please excuse us. Harry has been through a terrible ordeal tonight. He just had to relive it for me. He needs sleep and quiet. You all can stay with him, but no questioning him tonight." Albus said to the red haired woman.

Molly turned to me, "Who are you?"

"Lily Abott, I had to join Harry tonight in his adventures." I said in a low voice.

Sirius came in as a dog but transformed into a man. Moly jumped away and after we a assured her Sirius wasn't dangerous, the two began chatting.

I looked at Albus who handed me the potion. "Harry needs it more than me. Besides, remember who I have as my guardian."

Albus stared at me. "Fine.ill leave it here if you want it. Professor Snape is here to see you."

I smiled surprising everyone in the room. Sev came in quickly to hug me oblivious of the audience in the room. "Lily I'm so glad you're ok." I cleared my throat loudly and nudged his ribs.

Half an hour later, Fudge returned arguing with Albus about Voldemort being back. He chose denial, so I have the feeling the ministry will be interfering next year.

"Severus, you know what I need you to do if you are ready." Albus said to Sev.

"I am." Sev turned to me and whispered in my ear, "You'll be staying with Potter and the mutt this summer. Be good and I'll see you next fall. I promise."

"Thank you for everything!" I called to Sevs back. I turned to Sirius, "I'll be staying with you this summer!"

Harry fell asleep while I talked with Ron, Hermione and Sirius. The three told about Sirius' escape.

"Wait, so you escaped Askaban by turning into a dog?" I grinned.

"Yes a huge one. You said you're names Lily, where did you go to school?" Sirius asked coming to sit on my bed.

"Beauxbatons, my guardian worked hard to keep me hidden." I winked at Sirius.

"Lily, it's great to meet you. Who were your parents?" Molly asked.

"They died when I was 6 months old. By Voldemorts followers.

Molly gasped, as did the rest of her family. I rolled my eyes, who cares? It's just a name.
