Hello guys. I really want to say that this might be a really boring chapter and I am super sorry for that. BUT, I just want to thank truenotme for making a banner! :) Thank you for supporting my story and I will seriously find time to dedicate you all into this story! 100 reads for the next one. :)
“Hey, I thought we were friends.” James says, as I listen to the discussion. I moved closer towards him to whisper something.
“We are.” I whispered, opening my notebook to take notes.
“Then why aren’t you talking to me?” He says, facing me now. I can see him in the corner of my eye. I started writing something and faced him.
“It’s because I’m listening to our professor’s lecture.” I straightened out and closed my notebook. “And you should too.” Just after I said that, the bell rang and I got out quickly. Welcoming me, was Mint her smile reaching her ears.
“Why are you smiling like that?” I asked, nervous on what she is going to say.
“You’re so popular now!” She screams while hugging me.
“What in the world…I don’t care.” I commented. She poked my arm.
“What? Of course you do!” She says.
“Okay, maybe a little bit.” I lie. To be honest, I kind of like the attention. I never got this attention since…well, since the great fall. What is the great fall? Well, it was when I fell down the school stairs and a ‘heroic’ person caught me. It was pretty much a fairytale-ish scene and some of the kids caught it on camera and we have been the talk of the school for like, a week or something. But he’s a nerd. That’s why he never became popular. With that brown curly hair, huge dorky glasses and those stinky looking braces…well, it doesn’t really make him seem crush worthy. I shouldn’t be talking; I think were on the same page.
We became friends after that, and I kind of developed a crush on him. And I probably admitted that I fell in love with him, but when I was about to tell him. He...he…told me that he was going to London to study. He was so happy that the only thing I did was hug him and faked a smile. I regretted it. Yeah, another chunk of my ‘oh so very’ dramatic life. Well, back to the story.
“I knew it.” She said, slightly pinching me on my cheeks.
“And you’re telling this to me, why?”
“You’re going to find out later.” She says, mysteriously.

Here I am. At the mall. With mom and Mint. I have no idea on why I needed to be blindfolded but I just went with it, taking in the thrill. Who knows, maybe she’ll finally get me a car? Or something more better?
“Take off your blindfold, honey.” Mom screamed, happily.
“Go on, Alice!” Mint added. I removed my blindfolds only to find out that we were at an Optical clinic.
“What the hell are we doing here?” I asked, my eyes coping with the bright light.
“I have some good news, honey.” Mom says. I hate it when she calls me honey. God, mom. I’m already eighteen. My eyes widened.
“What kind of surprise?”
“You’re getting a new look.” I stood up in an attempt to escape. Oh no, not another one of Mint & Fiona’s makeovers. But before I can escape the clinic, Mint gripped on my wrist. I had been in these makeovers for like five times now and I might tell you, it is just as annoying as a mosquito. I don’t think it’s a great idea and I think it is super juvenile.
