Elsa's condition hasn't been getting better. She's been shaking and keeps complaining about the cold. Jack didn't know what to do, he watched the life drain out of her eyes every day. Her rosy cheeks were replaced with a deep hazy gray. Jack felt hopeless, he felt distant from Elsa.
What was he supposed to do?
Jacks fingers traced along Elsa's broad and strong features, outlining them carefully. She laid on his legs, her hair spreading out beneath her. Jack was smiling softly as he took her hand into his. She gave a small and weak cough as her limp hand obeyed his pull. Jack pulled Elsa into his arms, so that she was cradled on his lap. Her head nuzzled against his shoulder, feeling his soft and thin breaths breath on the nape of her neck.
"So warm," Elsa murmured, as she dug her head closer to Jack. Jack blushed as he chuckled lightly, wrapping his arms around her.
"I love you, I love you so much." Tears were filling Jack's eyes again as he told Elsa this. He hugged her tightly, rocking her back and forth, closing his eyes tightly so he didn't have to see her face when she looked up at him.
"Don't," Elsa said softly, her warm and wiping away a small tear forming in Jack's eyes. She swiped the tear away, gazing into his eyes. "Don't cry because of me," she said, slowly shutting her eyes.
Elsa let herself fall into a pit of darkness. She lost feelings in her arms first then her legs, but this was a peaceful feeling that spread through her like waves of an ocean. She dropped her hands to the ground, as her head tilted sideways. Her mouth met Jack's cheek, kissing his salty and tear stained skin. Jack let out a small sob as he squeezed Elsa's hand harder.
"Don't leave me, I don't want to be alone!" He shouted, pulling his arms around her again. She didn't react, all she could do was fall into his arms, her heartbeat slowing down. Her thoughts seem to start fading, and all she could do was give Jack one weak smile.
"Please," Elsa croaked out in a small whisper, almost fading. "Please take care of yourself, and don't," she laughed foolishly. "Don't do stupid things."
"I won't, but I want to live with you," Jack whispered into her ear, letting his tears drop on her pale dim skin. Her smile spread from corner to corner, dimples emerging from the top of her smooth skin. Even though her eyes were closed, Jack could feel them glowing and gave one last spark.
"I love you, forever." Elsa said before she fainted again.Jack took Elsa back into the house, holding her in his arms. He couldn't describe the feeling he bared and endured in his trembling heart, all he could do was try to nurse her to health again. He held his breath, praying that she's still alive. Every now and then, Jack would kiss her on the cheek just to feel her ice cold skin brush roughly against his lips.
Please be alive, Jack begged, tears uncontrollably running down his cheeks.
Jack never let go of Elsa's hand, through day and night, he stayed by her side.Three days later Elsa officially died.
Jack was left alone in the world once again.
He decided to live in the mountains for his life, reliving the days he spent with Elsa.
"I love you, always." Jack smiled weakly.
