Jack's P.O.V.
"I guess this is it then," I say as I look back at the mountain. It's covered in snow, drizzinling down, and the forest green trees were barely visible by all the snow covering it. I sighed as I tied a knot around the bag that I had just packed.
"Back to the forest we go!" Elsa yells, as I watched stumble into the snow, carrying a big bag behind her. She tripped and face planted the snow, I couldn't help to laugh at her. God, she was so clumsy. I walked over and helped her up by her small hand, her face smoldered with snow. She gave a little cough as snow flew out of her mouth. I laughed harder.
"You forgot your bag," I say in between laughs; handing her her heavy bag. I picked it up and it almost made me fall, what was in here, rocks? She shoots me an annoyed glance as she dusts off her dress and snatches the bag out of my hand. "Did you have a nice fall?" I tease from behind.
She threw her head back as she growled in despise.
"Shut up Jack!" I laugh.
Elsa was already far ahead, I took a moment to look behind me. I scratched the back of my head with my hand, examining all the memories that happened here.
"I can't believe we're actually leaving," I say as I catch up with Elsa. Her look softens as she looks at me, her hand finding its way to mine. I intertwine my fingers through hers, as her warm hand melted in mine.
"Well they're probably worried about us back at the castle, we can't stay here forever." She trails off, "Though, I'd like to..." I smirk at her.
"Why is that?"
"It's just," she stutters, her face getting red.
"Just what, huh?" I leaned in closer, my nose almost touching her cheek. She looked at my quickly and looked away.
"I wanted to spend more time with you," she mumbles lightly with her head dipped down.
"What was that?" I smile as I jump in front of her, my head towering over hers. My nose rested against her forehead, taking both of her hands in mine. I closed my eyes and chuckle lightly.
"Don't make me say it again." She says, closing her eyes and she huffs out a hot breath.
"Elsa, say it."
"I," her eyes dart from one side to another before taking another breath. "I want to spend more time with you." A smile grows across my face as I planted a soft kiss on her forehead. She smiled, satisfied.
"I needed to hear that." I say, letting go of one of her hands but keeping a strong grip on the other as I turn back to her side and continue walking. My back slinged over my shoulder seemed to be dragging me down. I didn't brink much, just a few towels, clothes, and food.
I look over at Elsa and she seemed to be worried, here eyes were drawn in a line as her liips quivered lightly. She had her cheeks puffed out and her fingernails were clawing at the fabric of her dress.
I wrap my arm around her waist, pulling her against me closely. She looked up at me, her eyes wide with surprise, but then let her head fall against my chest, comfortably smiling.
"Thank you," she says.
"For what?" I ask looking ahead.
"For always being there for me," Elsa whispers. I pull a strand of hair from her face and tuck it behind her ear. She looks up at me and smiles as her hand cups my cheek.
She leans up, her lips trembling against mine, almost touching them. I try to pull her closer to kiss me but she doesn't budge. Her hands still lay on my face as my hands were around the small of her back.
"Do you think they missed us, you know, at the kingdom?" She breathed against my skin.
I nod.
"Do you think they're mad?" She says worriedly. I pull her waist against mine as I shake my head, burying my face into the curve of her neck.
"What will we tell them when we get back?"
"Just tell them the truth," I keep my head in her warm presence, wrapping myself around her. Her hands finally fall and rest along my back, pulling me close.
"I just don't want them to make a big deal out of it," she whispers.
"They won't."
"How do you know?" Her fingers trail around on my back, making small circles.
"They figured we would eventually end up together." She laughs.
"You're right," she says as she pulls away from our embrace. She takes my hand and runs forward, laughing.
"Where are you going?" I almost trip over a rock. "Hey not so fast!"
I fall back, my hand slipping from hers. She looks back and starts laughing, and I do too.
"How was the fall Jack?" She says laughing harder, I laugh with her. Our laughs together sound like bells, something beautiful, and it was music that powered me.
"Come here," I beckon her. She looks hesitantly as she steps over here. I smile widely before pulling her hand and she fell on top of me. I pull my hands around her back as she continuted laughing.
"You jerk," she says as she picks up a ball of snow and flattens it against my face. I push her, pinning her against the ground as I give her a wink.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," I say my body leaning towards her.
"What are you going to do about it?" She says teasingly.
"This." I push my lips on hers, kissing her. She parted her lips, before taking a breath and leaned against me. It was a soft kiss but engulfed me fully, gaining strength and before I knew it I found myself wrapped up against her, in heart, body and soul. She pulls away, leaving strands of hair trailing behind her.
"You're right, I sure don't want to make you mad." She gives me a smirk. I smile back, before lunging a fist full of snow in her face. She yelled as I got up and chased her around.
"You little piece of shit!" She says and I laugh, running around like children.
Like we used to.
We got back on a train a few hours after, Elsa was completely wiped out and she slept the whole way there. Her head was on my shoulder, her mouth half opened as I poked her cheeks. She looked so peaceful, I thought as I laid my head on hers. I closed my eyes, and began to drift off.
