A/N - (this chapter has a video)
Jack sat at the top of a mountain, staring out into vast distance to numb his pain.
He tried to think about the trees and how the light snow sprinkled over the pointy pine needles, or how the birds flew east instead of west, but there was always something bothering him.
Elsa.
It has been only two days since Elsa died, and Jack's mind was spinning with Elsa's face.
He remembered how she died. She was cradled in his arms, he remember the thumping of happiness his heart let out and the smile he couldn't stop from forming. At the moment, all he cared about was how Elsa was alive, and with him. When she spoke the words "I love you," to him, he felt a soft tingle rise from the bottom of his heart, and his body got all warm and fuzzy inside. But then, he watched as her honey dew skin turn to paper pale white, the color weakening from her eyes and her arms going limp. He remember feeling her body temperature going down, down, down till it felt like he was holding ice.
The sting he felt in his heart, when he watched as the light diminished from Elsa's eyes, he will never forget the dim gray that stained her eyes.
It was just her body, too weak to even move and function, overcome by the cold that made her pass away. She was always cold and shut off her heart, that it too grew too used to the cold. Her heart wasn't use to the warmness of love, and when it welcomed the love for Jack into her heart, it melted all the ice away.
"Its all my fault," Jack yelled as he threw his arms in the air. He felt his heart beat slowing again, taking in a breath of the cold air.
He looked down at all the jagged mountains and trees that looked so much like blades thrusting from the ground.
" It's not a long way down" Jack said, admiring the distance below him. He felt something hit his heart, and his muscles pulled back, perplexing for what was about to come.
"If I could just, fall." He let his rough foot slip on the curved ledge.
Down,
Down,
He fell. Deeper and deeper into the woods. He tucked his arms into his body, trying to keep warm as he fell. He watched as the trees below him get closer and he felt as his heart rate started to drop. His eyes closed, feeling the gush of wind pushing his hair up around him. It was so relaxing, he thought.
He stopped feeling the wind.
He stopped falling.
He felt a faint and familiar hand gripped around his wrist.
Warm, was all he could say.
