The girl, Roze, with her haunting blue eyes and dark hair calls to the boy, Sage, who is running after his sister with blond curls blowing in the wind and his dark gray seam eyes gleam with delight as they twirl and eventually fall to the ground in laughter. They beg me to come twirl with them and I walk down the porch my face held a wide grin as I went to join them. I stopped suddenly, for a large muscular figure has approached the far edge of the village. I call out to Sage and Rose telling them to hurry inside and to not tell their father about the man. They hurry inside like I told them. I stood on the porch trying to identify that oh so familiar face. Then I let out a gasp and know who it is even before he speaks...the murderer himself, Gale Hawthorn has made a reappearance. End of chapter 1
