The endless sleep, the endless night
Why are these things you all try to fight? Why fight to have me by your side
When you can clearly see it causes me to cryCry out in pain, in agony, in fear
All because you want to keep me nearThey say the truth sets you free,
But here you are still clinging to meWhat's wrong with learning to fly,
Off a cliff, in the sky?The sky is so pretty and pure
The perfect thing to be my cureBut, you grab my arm and say 'stay',
But you don't see that I'm the one who will payBut, if you let me fall
You can hear my final callOf letting go of the torture, the pain
Of being free from my baneNow I finally wish to flee
Please, won't you set me free?

Half Truths and Hidden Memories
PoetryA place of sorrow, of fear, of pain. A place of joy, of hope, of love. A place to cry out in fear. A place to shout in joy. A place to be myself, and hope not to be judged for who I am.
