Burning Wings

Burning wings, fallen from grace
Lost in a world without a place

Blue fire consumes the heart
Every one of her hurts taking part

The call of friends saying "Angel you are."
Yet to them her heart has been barred

She weeps for the day when the fire is dead
For that'll be the end of the life she's led

He tries to help her, never losing face
But ahead she runs, winning the race

For if she can't be with him, her hurts won't cease
Until another claims her heart at least

Onward she flees, the trail of fire behind
The tears from her eyes causing her to be blind

So onward she flees, locking her heart away
For her time to cease her play

And up goes the wall to guard against trust
For even as her heart weeps, she know she must

Her head is bowed, her feelings gone
As the sun rose once more, her final dawn

Hi
I did a poem to relieve my angst.
No, I'm not okay.
No, I don't want to talk about it.

Thanks.

Until next time,
