Though she knew it was better not to struggle, it was her natural instinct to fight back as the guards dragged her towards her laboratory.

"The less you struggle, the easier this will be for everyone." Axle growled to the young blonde woman who let out a harsh bark of laughter before she jabbed her finger into the second guards neck, causing him to cry out in pain at how sharp her nails were.

"It'll be easier for the wrong people, G.I Jerk." Joelee snapped in response as Axle tightened his grip on her arm, causing her to immediately stiffen as she began to target his large hands instead but he wore leather gloves to stop her attempt at biting him.

"You're learning... Didn't think you were capable of that." Joelee commented after she realized he had begun to wear gloves when detaining her due to how many bites she had landed previously.

"You'd better watch out who you make an enemy of, little girl. It make come back to bite you later." Axle warned in a low voice but Joelee didn't look fazed at all as she arched her eyebrows with an amused expression.

"Whatever you say, cheesy 80's villain." Joelee's words caused him to tighten his grip once more but Joelee hid the pain this time as he dragged her into the lab.

"Got a new one for you, Doyle. She's feisty so watch your fingers." Axle kept a firm grip on Joelee's shoulders as the second guard began to secure her wrists to the operation table.

"Doyle? What happened to Rue?" Joelee snapped as her ankles were secured next, allowing Axle to finally release her as he instantly backed away.

"She was reassigned due to personal reasons. Doyle will be better at taming you as well... Which is precisely what you need. That and some manners." Axle narrowed his eyes dangerously as Joelee released a loud, overdramatized, laugh.

"My apologies, Mister Axle. I must've forgotten my manners in between sessions of an endless void of boredom and torture. What would my mother say?" Joelee's words caused a soft chuckle to escape the young male behind her as a dark haired male walked into her line of sight.

"She is a feisty one. Hello, miss Lowell. I'm Doctor Doyle but you can call me Jonah." The young male that stood before he was definitely a lot younger than she had assumed he was, his deep voice throwing her off a bit at first but he still didn't look too awful young. He was tall with deep brown eyes that seemed as though he was forcing them to be warm but Joelee ignored the feeling that his warm expression was a facade as she continued to examine him in case the police would need a sketch of him later.

His hair was incredibly short, showing off a slight curl to his black hair but it was mostly contained by how short it was cut. He was a lean kind of muscular, almost unhealthy as though he didn't eat enough but yet he didn't appear completely unhealthy.

"And you seem a little young to be a doctor." Joelee fired back which caused Doyle to release another soft chuckle as he came to stop next to Axle.

"I've been a doctor in the military since I was eighteen. Couldn't stop what I'm good at, now could I? Plus, if I wasn't a doctor, we wouldn't have met. That would be a downright shame." Doyle's words caused Joelee to snort as she rolled her eyes, every word the young man was saying seeming to grow increasingly annoying as she listened.

"Yeah, yeah. Would be a real tragedy. Can I go yet?" Joelee snapped as she judged his reaction, watching his eyes darken a bit but he said nothing as he turned to Axle so she couldn't see his expression.
