Chapter twenty-three

P.O.V. of Jade
The next two to fight is Shino and Zaku, one of the sound ninja. I know Shino was going to win right away so I sit down and I just watch the show.

"If you go through with this, you'll get hurt so badly you'll never be the same. Walk away, while you still can." Shino says. Zaku pulls one of his arms out of the slings and saying something about it having life left in it. Zaku runs at Shino and tries to attack him but it is blocked with ease. "It'll take more than one arm to beat me!" Zaku blasts Shino with air, I sit forward a little waiting for the dust to settle. I see shino just standing there, something shakes Zaku up pretty bad. Then a swarm of bugs come out of nowhere and start to surround zaku. Then he pulls his other arm out of the sling... they both work? He tricked us all. Zaku tries to blast Shino and the bugs with his air pipes but something strange happens. His arms explode, one even get completely cut off. I can't help but feel sorry for Zaku, I could feel how proud of his arms he was. Somehow shino's bugs had gotten into the air pipe in Zaku's arms and blocked the wind which make them blow up. Then Shino punches Zaku unconscious.

"The winner is Aburame shino!" the Proctor says, " so uhhh... we're moving on to the next match."

Then there was a poof behind us, Master Kakashi. "MASTER KAKASHI!" Naruto says.

"yo," he responds. I can't help but laugh.

"what do you mean "yo"? master Kakashi, tell us about sasuke! Is he all right?" Sakura says as I sigh and sit down looking across the way at the sound ninja's.

"He's fine... sound asleep in the infirmary even as we speak. Under the guard of black ops team... but asleep." why is black ops watching him if he is asleep. I look over at the board and see the next fighters; Kankuro vs tsurugi misumi.

"Even though you're just a little brat I'm not letting down my guard like yoroi did. In fact. Let me make one thing perfectly clear... you'd be better off forfeiting the match before you get hurt.. this won't take log at all." Misumi says once they get to the battle ground.

"I agree, I'll be finished with you in no time!" Kankuro says while taking off his weird wrapped thing. The guy runs at kankuro but he blocks the attack. Then Misumi wraps his body around kankuro like a snake. I zone out a little but before I know it kankuro's neck was snapped, I gasp. I kind of liked that guy. Then kankuro's head turns around and he starts to talk... he was a puppet? Then the real kankuro appears and he makes the puppet break misumi's bones. Naruto starts to complain about kankuro is cheating but no one cares and on to the next battle we go! The next match up is... Haruno Sakura and yamanka ino. I sigh and watch their match which goes on forever!!! Then Ino cuts her hair and does the soul transfer thing and hits sakura by using her hair but somehow sakura forced ino out of her and they both punch each other. they both get knocked out and the proctor says that neither one of them go to the third exam. Kakashi and Asuma get them and set them down. Shika and the other run over to see if they are ok. The fifth match was tenten vs. temari. Sakura and ino wake up soon after but I pay them no attention. The fight ended quickly with tenten getting beaten to a pulp. It would really suck if she had to fight me.

"How dull, it's a shame," Temari says with tenten balancing on her fan. She throws her like trash but lee catches tenten. "Nice catch."

"What's wrong with you?! That's not how you treat a worthy opponent especially one you've just defeated!" lee says holding tenten.

"Oh Shut up! Get yourself and that loser out of my way,"with that said lee then tried to attack temari but she catches his foot, which surprises him. Then Guy-Sensei goes down there to stop lee.

"Temari get back up here! You've already been declared the winner, how long do you intend to trifle with that homely prince charming?" Gaara shots down.

"My dear friends from sand, if you don't, I'd like to offer a word of advice," Guy says, " be prepared, you have no idea how strong this boy really is." He pats lee on the shoulder.

"Don't you lose to them Naruto!" sakura says and starts giving him a speech about how far he has come to just give up. I sigh and go look at the next match, Shikamaru and Kin Tsuchi. As shika walks past me I grab his hand.
