P.O.V. of Jade

Naruto coughs, his chakra points are all blocked. They continue bickering, and suddenly naruto looks shocked. He closes his eyes and when he opens his eyes its like he has a renewed strength. Naruto does a hand sign and focuses. He isn''t going to use the fox's chakra is he?

"Why try to deny your destiny?"

"Because people called me failure. I'll prove 'em wrong," naruto says and suddenly this visual red chakra appears around him, just like when we were in the land of the waves. I sense everyone's shock. The chakra fully covers him like a shell of fire, then he moves faster than I have ever seen Naruto move. The fight continues, naruto's power is unbelievable if he gets one hit on Neji it'll all be done. There is a huge explosion once they finally make contact with eachother. Everything is silence and still once the dust dissipates. Neji appears from the rubble and naruto is out cold. Suddenly a fist comes out of the ground and hits neji. It's naruto, he made a clone to act knocked out so he could get him. Neji hits the ground and can't move. I smirk, never underestimate naruto.

"For the record, i failed the graduation exam three times. Cause there was this one jutsu that was always on the exam and it tripped me up every time. It was the one jutsu i just couldn't master. My clones were pathetic, thats right i failed the shadow clone every time. So don't come whining to me about this destiny stuff and complaining that you cant change who you are. you can do it too, after all, like me you are not a failure."

"The winner is Naruto Uzimaki," The instuctor says. The crowd cheers. Naruto smiles and runs around and blowing kisses all around.

"Naruto defeated neji? Oh man I can't believe it, and I thought Naruto was like me: one of the dorky uncool guys." shika says in amazement. well he seemed more annoyed than amazed.

"Dorky and uncool?" shino asks.

"I think you are cool shika," I say smirking. he blushes and keeps his eyes on Naruto.

"Now everyone is going to think he is going to make something of himself, just great. I doubt I can beat him now.  This is bad, I've never felt so depressed. What a drag." I giggle at shika's words. He as little faith in his abilities.

"Lighten up Shika, You are still stronger than him." I look at Naruto, he was still cheering and running around. The crowd was also cheering still, all surprised about the fact that a nobody like Naruto could have so much power. I smile. I was proud of him, he finally is getting the recognition he deserved.  Shika turned to me,  he had a look in his eyes. I hadn't seen it in a long time, he didn't look bored, like my words actually affected him. Soon though he changes back to normal shikamaru.

"This is still a drag," he says putting his hands behind his head. I rolled my eyes. Naruto comes up to us smiling like a fool.

"Did you guys see that!' he says.

"You did amazing Naruto i'm so proud!" I says giving him a hug.

"Yeah it was pretty cool of you man," shika says smiling at Naruto. I smile watching them, but soon remember there are still other fights waiting to happen. Next was to be Sasuke and Gaara, sasuke was still missing. "That sasuske... what is the world does he think he is doing? Forfeiting?"

"A wise man never courts danger," shino says. I look at the area and sigh. Both sasuke and my brother haven't arrived, something is up.

"what are you talking about, he is defiantly going to be here. Believe it!"  Naruto says before looking over at Gaara and glaring. Shika looks between the two of them back and forth as if he was confused and forgot about the incident in the hospital.  I look over at the Hokage, he was talking. He can't disqualify him.. the crowd was waiting for this fight.
